Youll want the steering controls to work too.

Is Bluetooth really the only requirement you have? In that case look at something like a Connects2 Bluetooth adaptor kit and keep existing head unit.

They're pretty limited, volume up/down and mute, so not hugely important, would be a plus though.

Would like a new head unit. USB would be nice too.
    List might get longer. Lol.

Do you want a touch screen?

Not necessarily, might, but would depend on price.

    Couple of hundred all in.

Stick with the Bluetooth module so, a decent headunit swap will cost a lot more for a Megane.

Nothing on gearbest or other Chinese sites that would be good?

It’s hit and miss. With the Megane even the Chinese units aren’t cheap as you need a specific types that goes on top of the dash

Could some generic unit not be fitted with a Mégane facia?

I dont think there’s enough room for that on the Megane 3

You can fit a single DIN sized unit alright, but I can’t see much benefit in doing that over fitting a Bluetooth module

Looking at something like this maybe and upgrading the door speakers:

That’s €300 plus you’ll prob get hit for VAT and import duty, if it’s taking 3 weeks to deliver it’s not from uk as claimed, then cost of fitting and cost of putting in speakers that are better than you already have. You wouldn’t be long spending €700 IMO

Do some homework on the processors, operating system, boot times etc ad some can be very slow and laggy.
