    The Neverending Story !!

    Haven't seen it since I was child and I loved it so much. I'm worried watching it now might taint that memory for me...

    Watched it again for the first time since i was a young lad recently. It is still well watchable , and has not aged too badly. Brought back memories !! You would not see some of the stuff in children's movies these days !!

    Did you even have a childhood if you weren't emotionally scarred by the death of a fictional animal?

    Currently enjoying Unbelievable, despite it being quite slow in places I'm liking the pacing overall

    In the last few weeks watched the following:

    Sisters - enjoyable Australian series that has a clever story and good acting;

    Between Two Ferns - dreadful but still laughed at parts of it;

    The Guilty - absolutely excellent Danish film (1.5hrs) that has stayed with me long after watching;

    The Spy - very good, Sacha Baron Cohen is much more convincing as as serious actor than expected;

    Mindhunter (s2) - really don't understand the love for this show at all, I can't enjoy it. A lot of the character development this series just felt silly and stuck in to give them something else to talk about. Found most episodes very boring.

    Wait until they replace the theme song with the Stranger Things version.

    Same, I think it's a fair bit more serious in tone than the name suggests from what I've heard.

    Watched Surviving R Kelly, don’t like the way they made it all about race. Apparently if he was abusing white women he would have been locked up long ago. There were white girls being abused in Rochdale, uk and nothing was done. It shouldn’t be about race, he was a sick ****er end of story.

    Very common narrative in the states

    Since it's a new thread, thanks to all those who recommended Mindhunter.
    Another American series on serial killers wouldn't have been top of my viewing list but this was good.
    Of the actors you'd have to say that chain smoking Bill Tench,played by Holt McCanally was the star, and he has strong Irish roots as well.

    Amen to this. Mindhunter is one of those shows that will stand the test of time. Superb writing and characterisation. Bill Tench speaks to us all! For anyone with even a mild interest in crime I would heartily recommend this show.
