Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Anyone with Tom Tom GPS satnav able to put in full 7 digit eircode?

    anyone with Tom Tom satnav able to put in full 7 digit eircode? - mate of mine has a device bought a few months back , can only put 3 digits in only of the eircode. even tried adding a space after the first 3 digits , no joy. I think when we tried a UK address we could write the whole UK postcode in it.

    Same in the latest Premium TomTom, latest maps etc. Entering first three letters/digits gives localities but any additional entry results in nothing.

    Thanks, did any of the earlier updates allow you to put the full code in ? - I thought i read somewhere you could on a TomTom device ... but then again maybe that was UK postal/postcode addresses you could put in fully?

    Using Tomtom for a few years now, four different models with updates etc and cannot remember any of them taking the full code. Might be worth asking on the TomTom user forum.
    Don’t know if the codes work with Garmin.

    I have emailed their customer support now, see if i get a reply on this

    Eircodes do work fully with Garmin now. Very handy
