Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Im not the best cook in the world but I haven't poisoned anyone yet.

    I have a slow cooker and I was wondering what the difference between a slow cooker and a pressure cooker is?

    I would like to try and cook a stew/curry etc, would a pressure cooker be good at this?

    Pressure cooker cooks things fast and a slow cooker cooks things slowly. For the best of both consider getting an instant pot which can do both. You've just missed a great price on them on amazon but keep an eye on the bargain alerts forum on here. That's where I saw the offer and bought mine last month.

    Definitely go for an instantpot or similar electrical pressure cooker, FAR easier to use than a traditional one which needs more babysitting. The electric ones are more like a microwave with time settings etc.
