Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Would any kind soul out there post a link or upload a recording on Youtube of the Players Of The Faithful documentary about Offaly's historic victory over Kerry in the 1982 All Ireland Football final ?.It was shown on RTE at Christmas,but unfortunately I didnt get to record it.Thanks in advance.

    I wonder if you could argue that Derrys 1993 win was a bigger achievement than Offalys? that fellow in the documentary is just going by population but ignores that some northern counties have nearly half a population who are unionists, Derrys 1993 team was made up of players from around a 23 mile area, Dungiven to Creagh. Armagh is another name to throw into that mix but i think it has a higher population than Derry, even this year Derrys panel only had 3 players from north of Dungiven.

    No the first city person to play a championship game was in 2007, they have a couple of good clubs now though but I don't think any play county.

    That's incredible. I suppose it makes sense with Derry City FC, but it really limits Derry's player pool.
