isnt Fowler the most over rated , talked about golfer in modern history.

Is a multi millionaire with loads of top 5 and top 10 finishes.
    Nearly always on the premises.

but every major . he is talked up as a winner.

when is Tommy Fleetwood going to do something he should do.

I think he suffers from Dendrophobia. That's right, he is afraid of trees.

All his best results are down in the desert or on mock links courses in America. Put him in the middle of trees and he loses it. Never played well at Wentworth and his Augusta and PGA form is debateable.

All his wins on expansive courses with little or no trees.

    ive the same condition .

    thanks for that new word.

I'm loving this course. It looks very tough but birdies and pars are available. If you mess up, you're done. Sunday will be very very exciting, even if somebody is floating around with a 4 shot lead. It can all go wrong at any time.

There is going to be nobody hitting a tee shot 50 yards wide and getting away with it.

It is a perfect Major Golf Course.

    The major winners I’d assume?

    decent golfer.

yes you can win 1/5 of your odds with many good golfers.

but in majors . he hasnt the mind or swing.

He's had 10 top 10s in the 18 majors since he last won one. You'd have a nice profit if you backed him at 10/1 ew 10 places across all those majors. His last 3 opens since he won have all been top 5s - again all would have returned a solid ew profit.

Added benefit of playing on a course he's familiar with, it's not that bad a bet.

Edit - sorry for derailing with betting talk, actually assumed this was the tips/betting thread.

1-paying ten places isnt very common.

2-You wouldnt actually be in profit even if every bet was paying 10 places.

3-When i bet on golf its partly for enjoyment so i want someone who might as least contend for a while and not someone who reverses into top 10 on sunday morning when nobodys watching, just to get a bit more than my stake back-id rather just keep my money in my pocket than that

get bored of him on tv.

    but fair play to him
