Thats about all I have to be honest. I wasn't keen on running around snapping hundreds of photos. It was great to spend the whole day there taking everything in leisurely..

Feel free to post your own pics anyway!

You just got in before me! Our Dad had a beetle way back when no one had a car. We all loved that blue Beetle. Being a kid, never understood why the suitcases were placed under the bonnet!

What is that dark green three wheeler, it reminds me of only fools and horses.

Apologies I am not into this kind of thing, but enjoyed looking at the pix.

I was there today, brilliant show, must've been 1000+ cars there.
Great moneyspinner for what ever charity they've chosen

Great day, great show.....but just not enough food vans..queued for half an hour for a chicken box only to be told they,d run out of pieces and ended up with a warm chicken burger....enjoyed the day still...:o

Yeah went to the food court and only two dedicated food wagons with big queues but then further down the was an Eddie Rockets food van and another food van fling food against a back hedge.
Didn't make a lot of sense as there was nowhere to sit there.

I brought factor 50 and put it on 5 times during the day and I'm still roasted so I can only imagine what you must be like!

The Fiat, Alfa, Lancia pitch was nice to see, a reminder of how prolific they were. Nice to see the 2 Fiat 130s, a few 128s to mark it's 50th anniversary and a Thema 8.32 showing off that Ferrari lump.

Those two grosser Mercs are always a highlight. And Jags/ Daimlers everywhere, a grand show as always, once you can manage the traffic jams.

The blue MB600 was restored by Cardock and its owner had a few other cars on the stand. 75 cars turned up on the MB Club stand. My blue S124 is in the pics :)

Great pics. Thanks. Looked like a great day.

The MK1 Golf and the 504 are lovely.
    Nice examples of both.

What won car of the show?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,862 ✭✭✭RobAMerc

great show. couldnt believe that when I turned up at 9.45 it was already packed !
food was an issue though, its a pity there is only chips etc, something healthy and maybe a fizzy wine bar would be really welcome.
That blue 280se 3.5 coupe is to my eye one of the nicest classics Ive ever seen at any show.

Lot of car missing on previous years...anyone notice the lack of....??

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,674 ✭✭✭Skatedude

Good show, but the lack of food places was a pain, there was much more options in previous years? Queuing for 40 mins just for a burger and chips?
Was there a restriction in place this year?

I usually head to this but gave it a miss this year.
Doesn't seem to be anything too dramatic that I missed , looking at the photos here and on FB.

I would honestly say there was so much on in Dublin this weekend there was just no vans left !

To be honest the food options have always been pretty poor at Terenure (for the 5/6 years I've been going at least).

Its a pity Terenure College isn't/can't be opened up for food, something like what they do at the Swords show with sit down options etc and proper catering*

*I use this term loosely :P

The last 4 years always had 3 or 4 burger places, this year there was just one, and no pizza vans either.

This thread seems to have turned into a discussion of gastronomic proportions, than a review of a car show...

I thought the food was great mainly because I brought my own! Last year the food was ****e and the year before etc, so I got the Tupperware out!

While you're waiting you could step back in time to ten years ago (how time flies) and have a look at what was on show in 2009.
