I loved the film, plenty of scope to run with in the series.

Matt Berry only sweetens the deal.

Does this mean there won't be a second film ?

I liked the planned title for a sequel from the other crowd
What We Do in the Moonlight was changed to We're Wolves.

So yeah there's already scope for a spin off series

I'm liking it so far, 3 episodes in. Very good cast, and I especially like Colin, the energy vampire :) It's not gut-busting comedy, but it is very amusing, and it's got Matt Berry too :) Episode 3 was the best one so far; the vampires facing off against the werewolves
the vampires won when Matt Berry threw a squeaky toy off the roof of a building, and the dog instinct of the werewolf he was battling kicked in, causing it to jump off the roof :D

Loving this, episode 6 was brilliant, drunk blood, drug blood and pizza :pac:

Never saw or heard of the film, must look it up.

    Yeah, episode 6 was brilliant.
Guillermo vaporizing the Baron and asking "what's that smell?" cracked me up big time :pac:

The ending to yesterdays episode (6) was great.

So many great one liners in the series.

I love how it took me a few episodes to realise they don't have to say "Bat" to take bat form, just Lazlo likes saying it which makes me laugh everytime.

Is the original film worth watching. The cast really make this so not sure of the film although I just saw that Korg from Thor Ragnarok is behind the film and TV show so want to watch it for that alone.

The movie is amazing, its gonna be one of those cult classics people will be quoting in years to come. He done another film after it also, "Hunt for the Wilderpeople " which is also hilarious, both defo worth checking out, the former especially.

Also, i havent watched the show yet, but from watching the trailer above its looking fairly similar, id imagine some jokes may be rehashed from the movie, i could be wrong though :)

Man, he wasn't just Korg, he directed Thor: Ragnarok. And yes, it's a great film. As are Flight of the Conchords and Eagle Vs Shark

I know he directed that but Korg was such a brilliant character, will watch anything he does now.

Have the film a look last night and was class as well. I think the TV cast do a better job but the film is still really good. The film did the werewolf standoff way better than the TV show. "We're werewolves, not swearwolves" :pac:

Thank God. I was worried it wouldn't make the cut. It's one of the very few shows I like :)

The last 2 episodes have been amazing.
Want to see more of the vampire baby in season 2.

    Batista & Tilta :)

They must have been filming during Endgame.

    Blade :)

Not to mention everyone else. :)

What a BIG episode! I'm so glad I just watched the film as well for obvious reasons.

Good interview here about getting the cameos. Apparently Brad Pitt was on for it an all.

I thought this was a very disappointing episode after the high of the previous one. Too many cameos, which took the focus off the brilliant lead actors: I think the show cast is much better than the movie cast too. I also never liked Flight of the Conchords, so I don't care for too much of its presence in this (Kristen Schaal is a very tiresome actress). I think it was a total misstep having this celebrity vampire council: it feels like a jumping the shark moment. The beauty of this show was keeping things simple: the comedy is in watching these centuries-old vampires living together and it doesn't need big events like this weeks episode. Hopefully next week will get back on track, although I'm worried that the death of the Baron has removed a lot of the tension/comedy from the show.

Matt Berry turning a baby into a vampire, and saying "I was Jack the Ripper" did make me laugh though!

This week's episode was very good. Glad it's back on track after last week; I'm just going to disregard that episode altogether, and view it as the makers wanting to show off their famous friends. The show is missing a central story though; having the crazy Baron there, with his desire to take over America, gave it some direction, now it's unclear where things will go.

    Orgy and porn :)

Another classic, such a great season of telly. Bat cod piece had me in stitches and it was such a silly joke. Berry just has a great delivery.

Be bop a lula... Yeah, I'm about to launch a sputnik.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,266 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

This is near perfect with the deadpan delivery.

DNA, seamen stealing witches and Van Helsing and Amazon steaks, vampires and churches there is just so many heads off moments.

Ah man I just noticed that was the season finale as well :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,460 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

That season went so quick, class all the way through with the only weak one being the celeb filled one which was still good for all the faces.

    Colin Robinson, 100% white :pac:

Great series, really enjoyed it. Matt berry’s delivery of the simplest of lines has me in stitches.

Very enjoyable, the Kiwis share much of the same humour and cultural reference points as the British so Berry esp was allowed to be true to himself rather than use slang and swear words that would be tailored for American viewers first and foremost.

I like the idea of a really boring energy vampire, something not explored in the film - which was okay but not as good.
