    TC Salah GW1

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    Welcome back all :)

Obviously it’s hard to know without prices, but looking at those fixtures I think the following to start:

    - 3 City (Laporte, Sterling, Aguero)
    - 3 Liverpool (any 3 of TAA, VVD, Robertson, Salah or Mane)
    - Digne and Sigurdsson
    - Budget options from the likes of Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Watford and Villa to fill out the rest of the squad

    Also worth noting:

    - Liverpool and West Ham will likely have a blank in GW18 due to the Club World Cup

The stupid 8pm kick off will mean a 5am start my end.

Not great to be going to bed 7-8 hours before deadline on day one.

Any late info will be no good to me.

Also, this year teams will be getting a one week break in February, but it will be staggered. So 10 teams will play one week, and 10 the next.

Nightmare stuff from an FPL point-of-view!

When do we think the 19/20 FPL site will go live?

    Gotta get the ID!

    Aguero TC for GW1?
City have won their last seven competitive matches against West Ham United with a combined score line of 23-3 in their favour.

Might well do that myself this season. Any whispers on possible different chip scenarios in play this season?

Yes, I think GW 1 is not a runner given the tough fixtures of two promoted teams. I'll have a look at GW2 fixtures, but GW 3 is too far ahead to use it.

I thought I saw him playing for Barcelona recently. Is he moving back to England?

BB gw 1 for me. The midweek after Fa cup SF this year is free so wont be as many DGW games as previous years.

Any possibility of positional changes this year? Salah as a striker would make sense as he's at least in the same role if not more advanced than say zaha. Same with manè? Ricky played up top a good bit last year too sterling and jota could be other candidates

As I know he is still playing for Barcelona. Do you really think that he can move back to Liverpool or other England teams?

No just a joke. He scored loads for Liverpool against them.

    When are the prices out?

Could do with another few weeks free time form fpl.

I'm sure it was around the 5th July last year, so you should have another month at least anyway! :)

Salah as a striker would start making things very interesting. he should be a striker as per what they've done with other players, but I suspect they'll just leave as is. same with Sterling and Mane.

Salah as a striker would be less appealing to me, especially if he's going to be priced at 13 again this season. No clean sheet points and 1 less point per goal, not to mention his poor return of bonus points. Even Kane last season at 12.5 was hard to fit in. Salah maybe 12 and Mane 11 maybe?

It would help his bonus potential a LOT

Off the top of my head he would have got about 22 clean sheet points last year which was about the difference between him and hazard I think? Will he get enough bonus to bridge the gap

Not very likely in my opinion but there is always a possibility with the amount of money in the premier league currently.

Shoutout to all those who had Wan Bissaka in their FPL team from GW1 last year

    He's gone from costing 4.0 to £50million :D

The real question is, who will take the 4M starting crown this year? I had AWB last year, and Loftus-Cheek (4.5M) the year before. I expect AWB to come in around the 5.5 mark. Considering how much he'll shore United up replacing Young and him being an excellent defender, United defensive assets could be worth a punt to start with.
