Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Im new enough to Up The Deise land (im living here almost 2 years) and like most places there are a few well-known characters. From my workplace and getting to know locals, I have heard a few names pop up, anyone have any idea who they are, I only know one guy, he says How Doo to people in the street, the rest are a mystery!

    How do- I know him now!

    Whacker Mulroney??

    Thanks for clearing it up, if you know these people who are constantly mentioned in Waterford.

    Mytown* chap who was fond of the drink used to be heard shouting "this is my ****ing town", still alive but don't seem around as much or even see him drunk. Used to be up in Ballybricken a fair bit too.

    Whacker was big into the mod scene in Waterford and Ireland, he only died about two/three years ago.

    Heard of the other names don't know much about them though.

    I met him earlier, told him some fella on the internet was asking about him. By the way he's 6 foot 5, I got that wrong.
