Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

Is it the best pub in town? The peace of walking through the doors, no music, no noise, sit at the bar, order a pint, relax.

Have intelligent conversation with the lads behind the bar.

Have nice chat with people who wander in.

I would almost add, why spend €60 at the GP, much more beneficial to sit in here for an hour or two.

Whether it's the best pub or not is very subjective, but it is a lovely pub with great Guinness.
Moreover there is a lovely group of pubs down that end of town with nice mature clientele and I mean that in the attitude they have rather than age.
Meaghers, Tullys JKs Downes and hopefully TAnd H s starting in May .

Mixing up my pubs ,read Wetherspoons, not on the same class as previously mentioned but will add some mass.

You got my hopes up there! Will be a nice strip when T&Hs/Spoons open up.

What's the story with T&Hs btw?

Total mystery, no one seems to be able to get a handke on it.

Far from the best in town.

Its fine, a little too quiet at times, handy to drop in for a drink on the way to town from Tullys or Downes.
