I'm going to be in Salthill next week, and have to get a 10 mile run done. Not knowing Galway/Salthill can anyone give me some ideas, on a not too hilly route. Is running into Galway City practical (ie. footpaths, or is it hard shoulder only). Thanks :)

You can run from the Claddagh onto the Prom in Salthill and out to Spiddal which is all footpath (flat enough route) for 12 miles so loads of running route around Salthill

Start just before the Claddagh Hall ( old building across quay from Spanish arch ) to Silver strand return is 10 miles . Many times ran in back in the day when training well. Back of South park, Prom, back of golf course, barna road and road down to Silver strand beach prom end +return. Continuous run and fast . Best done early days as Salthill gets busy in pm if a nice day. Map here http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7355685
