Best place for men's grooming services?

My brother is getting married in Galway in July. Myself and the other siblings want to get him and his bestman a voucher for a hot towel shave and haircut & styling for the morning of the wedding.

He's someone who likes his fancy haircuts so we'd like to get someone who could properly style it for him on the day. I also want a place that takes booking so we can have a slot reserved for them. None of us are from Galway so we don't know any hair places over there. And from looking through Google all I could find are the usual 'walk-in" barbers.

Can anyone recommend places?

Cutthroat Barbers are excellent. Sound like they can do everything you want.

Fat Tonys have branches around Galway which might be handy depending on where your brother is staying. The branches in Barna, Liosban and Oranmore have parking outside.

Thanks, I'll look into both of those? Do ye know are they walk in only or do they take bookings?

Also just to be clear, we arent looking for a standard barber that you'd find in any town. We want something that has that extra bit of luxury to it for him on his big day! We'd also be happy to go with a hairdresser if they provide the services I mentioned.

Really what we were hoping was there might be places in Galway like these in Dublin:

cutthroat is a small barbber shop 4 chairs, they serve beer and generally a haircut and beard trim will take 40 mins to an hr. but its done very carefully. it would be good fun to book it out the morning of and have the place too themselves. if you want i can put you in touch with the owner.

i know when i get a hairut and beard trim in there i feel great after. they use a hot towel. about 5 differnt balms/lotions idk what they do but i look and smell great after

Some lads skin doesn't react well to a very close shave.

Last thing anyone wants is him standing for pictures with a rash

Recommend ye do a trial run first

Good advice. Your first encounter with a cut-throat razor should not be the morning of your wedding but that’s what some people do. Spots of blood on a white collar is not a good look.

I'd get him something else for the wedding morning.

You don't want to be going to some barber you've never used before to cut your hair for your wedding.
