Graupel has given way to moderate snow now, but brightening up at the same time. Clonsilla D15

    Sleet/graupel/snow in Dublin 16.

Wet snow and strong gusts in D7 over the last 15 minutes. Snow seems to be turning more "fluffy" now.

Had a bizarre hail squall shower so heavy here just now it set off two alarms on the street. Limerick city suburbs

    Close the country! D12

Horizontol hail here in North County Dublin.

    Chucking it down.

    Might be turning to snow.

Full blown snow here in D11. Grass getting a covering. Should pass soon and will await the next lump upwind.

Almost 1 week exactly to the minute and it has started to snow again in D14.
Hopefully Dublin airport is managing better than they did last week.

Dublin Airport reporting a thunderstorm with rain and hail at 2:30pm, visibility 800m, wind 36 knots, temperature 1°c and dewpoint below 0°c. Was 6°c at 2pm.

Just an observation but why do people always refer to Dublin by postcodes? I suspect 95% of us outside the city haven't a clue where D24 or 17 or whatever is, at least with a suburb name people might have a rough idea

Snowing at the Aviva now which I'd imagine would be a warmer spot than the airport

Mix of precipitation types here in Dun Laoghaire, falling as about 50/50 wet snow and cold rain now, 2.5° C.

It's easier and it works. Even if you don't know exactly the area you can get a general idea by this: Even number postcodes are southside, odd postcodes are northside, single digit postcodes are closer to the city center, double digit are further out.

An actual place name area would be easier to be fair but thanks for the postcodes info.

Levels above that will be warming so a noticeable reduction in shower intensity.

    Confined to northern counties?

Apart from Dublin 8, it’s on the North and Southside of the Liffey

Drove past Dublin airport during that shower. Etihad a330 landed right into it. Crazy they were given clearance to do so. I'd say new pants around for the pilots.
