    Hi
I have always wanted an aquarium and now that daughter is facinated with fish i have an excuse to buy. However with all the options I'm getting confused. I want to make 1 purchase and get it right.
Only real limitation is the wife must like how it looks and not big fan of the large square tanks
Therefore I think that I am down to 2.
Biorb classic 60l or fluval edge 46l.
Do people have any comments / suggestions on either. Also just wondering that the rest of the biorbs at the same price point are usually 30l or less. Is the classic 60l an old model??
Fish wide I'm happy with cold r tropical so not a deciding factor

    Thanks in advance

I think you need to go bigger. You will regret getting a tank that is too small. I think the biorb are the round tanks? If so they are not suitable for fish keeping imo. The rectangle tanks are more fish friendly. A tank of at least 100 litres and you could have a nice little Tropical Community. Cold Water fish i.e. Goldfish would need bigger. The tank sizes you mentioned would be too small.

My own tank is 120 litres & I would like a bigger one. You can with a bit of Aquascaping make any tank look lovely to keep your wife happy. Try going to a Reputable Fish specialist shop such as Sea Horse Aquariums. There is also a very knowledgeable guy in Petstop Blanchardstown. Both of these are in Dublin though.

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering why are the round tanks not suitable. Any stylish rectangular ones out there??

I am actually looking at getting a new bigger tank at present. I started 2 years ago with a fluval edge. Lovely tank but completely impractical. Even with the large edge the small opening makes it a nightmare to maintain. Would love a fluval f series as stated above but they are an old tank and impossible to get anywhere. Seahorse have a great selection on display and you should be entitled to loyalty stamps when purchasing the tank which you can use to stock it later for free.
