I love coddle! Was yours the traditional clear type or did you add some Oxtail soup to make it look more pleasant?

Clear all the way, I've never seen/tried the brown version.

    king?

King crisps. As opposed to tayto etc

I had a late enough lunch and a slice of spelt flour bread (I have no idea....was on offer, tastes the same as usual brown to me) at 6ish so not hungry now. I am in the mood to eat though, which is different. Will have to raid the presses.

I am also doing my meal plan for the next few days, based on what's in the house. That always makes me peckish too.

Clear is best but the brown version is nice too for beginners. Different look and taste, but a real feed! My Mother used the oxtail mix when I was a kid.

The ever simple yet elegant bangers and mash..after deciding that I'm too lazy to make a vegetarian korma.

It was the same here tonight with beans and Onion gravy. I know that another thread had some difficulty with mixing the beans and onion gravy thing, but its a done thing in my gaff!

Had lovely veg soup at lunch with brown bread, not hungry for dinner, so it's salad roll and a cup of tea.

For some reason I wish I had Kippers.!:D

I had a pizza from Pizza Hut today, always preferred dominos but I have to say I really enjoyed it and had it devoured in no time.

    Also had McDonald chips.

Made chicken korma with red and yellow peppers, and spring onions earlier, served with basmatti rice. Yum! :D

(Can't take credit for the sauce though, that was out of a jar :o)

I don't know what put them into my head :D but I could almost smell them. I'm not a lover of fish, but I do like a kipper for breakfast now and then. :)

"ah yes, I remember it well!"

Never see them in Ireland though, but then I avoid the fish counters as I go into shock at the prices.

A taste of my childhood when they were a regular food.
I sometimes get smoked coley which is a similar taste..
