A few from today. Always a struggle to get decent photos at these "free" walk-in events but I had a stab at it. Apologies for any dodgy quality photos, I was using a loaner camera.

Just this one which isn't great. Hard to get anything but an almost full frontal shot when they're all parked so closely together

    great pics Duke!

re the Alfa 75, a rare enough beast over here, is there anything extra special about the "Milano" edition that any Alfisti could tell me?

I think it's a spec level on the cars, they came in Gold and Silver Cloverleaf in US markets.

That one is LHD and the front bumper looks like a US one with the black impact strip. Not sure if that was ever available on European cars.

EDIT: Seems the impact strip came with colour coded bumpers on the 3.0 models. Increased the overall length from 4.33m to 4.41m on all cars, US and European.

The "Milano" is, strictly speaking, not an edition of the car but how the 75 was called on North American markets. They were only available with the V6 engines (2.5 first and then 3.0 L versions) and sported a number of modifications to comply with the US market regulations, including a different fuel tank located in the boot behind the rear seats (yep...), those ugly accordion-shaped force absorbing inserts in the bumpers and a few other bits. There were slight differences in trim levels and interiors compared to the European 75s to meet the different tastes of the North American public (e.g. a 3-speed auto box, AC was standard on all cars etc).

The "Milano" was ultimately brought to the European market in a cost-saving exercise when the upgraded V6 Busso, brought from 2.5L to 3.0L, was introduced on the market - the car was called "75 3.0V6 America" and kept essentially all of the US-specific modifications, the bumper inserts and the exhaust being on the right rather than the center of the car being the easiest to spot from the outside.

Never seen that before - my guess here would be that it's just a case of a mismatched badge; There was indeed a "Fiat 125" whose rear badge looked exactly like that, but it was a 4 doors saloon.

That said, there were so many variations of the 126 produced in various places (e.g. Poland), that it isn't beyond the realms of possibilities that it was sold as "125" somewhere on the planet.

Nah I don't think so. It was a 126 in Poland too (Polski Fiat 126p) - a hugely popular car over there. But thanks for your posts, I certainly enjoy reading them :)

Cheers! As I said earlier, my number 1 suspicion is that the car was missing the badge and the owners, somehow, stumbled on a 125 one and slapped it on. Quite interesting as the latter car wasn't very popular at all, at least not as widespread as the 126...
