I'd say it was planted there

Based on what? they were handing out posters with the same image at one of the No marches.

Well it can as you have accepted but you don't believe it will solve the issue.

I think you might find this interesting

I do know the No side were handing out fascist flags to people at a repeal march, really low stuff.
It's not remotely surprising though. Same approach as brexit, Trump, etc... get them 100% riled up on emotion and not even remotely focusing on facts and you can pull that sh*t all you want. They won't question what it is or stands for, just that "the person who makes me feel the good feels" gave it to then and so it "feels good man".

Anyone pointing this out is part of "the enemy" and so must be ignored if they point to the inconvenient truth behind the neo Nazi flag.

Now I have no idea of this. The impression I got off Peadar last night was all you had to do was give a signed statement to the police in order to access an abortion in Germany. It wouldn't be required if the person was under age.
    Or did I imagine it?

It doesn't seem like the best system but it's there.

I didn't watch the debate, but while the abortion law in Germany does allow abortion on what they call criminal grounds (i.e. child abuse, rape, etc), the timeframe is the same as the on-request grounds. The criminal grounds require medical certification that "there is strong reason to support the assumption that the pregnancy was cause by a criminal act". The on request grounds require mandatory counselling.

I would imagine that in practice, most rape victims would access abortion through the on request grounds, because it doesn't require the disclosure of the rape/assault/abuse in the first place, and there isn't any established medical indications of sexual crimes.

A compelling read. Thank you for being a voice for those actual children and explaining what happens to many children of forced pregnancies.
No worries, and to be honest it's been an eye opener working here. And worst if all from the 'no' standpoint is much, much more children in social services care are born from grooming (or outright violent rape) of parents with the mental capacity of children themselves.

That's an inconvenient truth that the no side don't want to deal with, and to be honest many would be neutral unaware as despite claiming to "love both" I don't believe I have ever got so much as an attempted answer on this over the multiple times I have posed the question.

In summary "Love Both" my hole.

It was the Kekistan flag they had on display. Started off on 4Chan and has been adopted by the alt-right.

So it basically represents violent, illiberal blithering idiots?

Great read on the revisionist history of the No campaign & their 11th hour sinking ship back track.
"...baseless predictions about floodgates opening ..".
If everyone is now calling for abortion up to 12 weeks, and no more. And 90% of abortions occur within this timeframe. And the proposed legislation is unrestricted up to this point,

The floodgates are pretty much open at that point, are they not? Unless we start forcing abortions on women,...

The abortion situation in Germany is very complicated. Abortion is technically illegal there but it is unprosecutable as far as I know. A woman must attend counselling and there she obtains an abortion certificate. She then returns 3 days later for the termination to be performed. Abortion in Germany is performed in the first trimester. So the waiting period and time limit is quite similar to the proposal here.

The floodgates are already open. It costs €90 to order abortion pills online. Raising a child is estimated to cost circa €200,000. Maintaining the status quo just means people are either doing it safely in England (but with no aftercare when they get back) or illegally with pills at home (with a risk of death or serious illness, or resorting to worse Methods if they can’t afford the €90. Women that don’t want pregnancies will terminate. Irrespective of whether you or I approve. Your choice is to enable them to do it safely or not. Your say ends there.

Violent, illiberal blithering idiots led and funded by ultra-Christian fundamentalist billionaire Robert Mercer. I mean they've literally even been hiring disciples from his now infamous Cambridge Analytica firm that has since rebranded as Emerdata, pushing far right causes the world over by any means necessary (and bragging about it to Channel 4 on hidden camera).

Tomorrow, from 2pm I think. Today's the last full day of media campaigning (press conferences, etc), but canvassing will still happen tomorrow and Friday in some shape or form.
