i am sick to the back teeth of this poxy referendum, c***s forcing their opinion on you, both sides are absolutely infuriating but the no side and far far far worse there can be no doubts about it.

So when this is all over and the most likely outcome is a yes victory i want to know the following.

Will those who have campaigned so vigorously for both sides come out and do the same for issues like the worsening homeless situation, the worsening housing crisis, our third world health service where people are dying on hospital trolleys, or is it just the "in thing" to be seen with either a yes or no badge or cover photo on social media, makes my blood boil all of this.

What do folk think of the line up tomorrow at 10pm on Pat Kenny

Maria Steen and Ronan Mullen (he seemed to do okay on the Claire Byrne show)

    vs.

    Regina Doherty and Colm O'Gorman

I find people in both campaigns a little annoying but Colm O'Gorman just rubs me up the wrong way!

3 couples in their 30s and 40s told me they intend to vote No but have told Yes campaigners they are voting Yes because.. they feared being considered 'backward'.. How sad :( I tried to tell them they weren't in the least backward.

This is Portlaoise town. 2 couples from Dublin who have bought here.

Ah yes Portlaoise where you led us to believe that the churches are bursting at the seams every Sunday.

    I don't believe you.

    What if more women die?

A Pyrrhic victory is still a victory it seems.

Are you going to do anything to care for these children, should they need it?

If 20 of them end up in care, getting abused, will you take them in?

Abortion is a complex issue with many different views, some very valid and worth considering, others maybe not so trustworthy. But ultimately it I think it boils down to who you value more, the women or the life growing inside of her, because no matter how many times we're told it, I don't believe you can value both of them the exact same under all circumstances, life is more complicated than that and always will be.

Personally I will be voting yes, for me the mother comes first, I can't and will never understand how some people think that the very moment an egg is fertilized it should have full human rights. No abortion is ideal, especially late term (we should very much try to limit these, for obvious reasons), but unfortunately, sometimes dire circumstances call for difficult action and this action should be at the discretion of those best placed to make the decision.

It's sad if there's a culture of fear out there that people, on both sides, fear saying how they'll.

I suppose people are tired at the end of the day and can nod and smile and get rid of you from their door as nicely as possible!

It wont. It only maintains the status quo. Ie abortions where a woman's life is at risk and young wans getting the boat to England.

That's nonsense. Even Northern Ireland are watching our vote closely as they believe a lot more will travel south for an abortion given the option rather than travelling to the UK. There is no doubt more abortions will take place if the service is available in this country.

It's always hard to know with canvasses people can lie or tell the truth.
I am seen by people as being as level about this. I won't fall out with you or block you on the internet if your voting Yes/No but I am surprised as some of the people voting No.

Sorry but you are wrong about this part
"Your example would be reported as the death of a pregnant woman not a woman and a baby."
It is often reported as a mother and unborn child. e.g. the unborn twins killed in the Omagh bombing

She was 34 weeks pregnant which is very different to 12.

The reports from the time so refer to a 29 deaths including a woman pregnant with twins. It's 31 if you count the twins as babies.

So it will be Simon Harris v Peadar Toibin, after Maria Steen was refused to be allowed to debate for the No side.

Any stats on the number of women who have died due to the 8th? Another distraction pushed by Pro-Choice

So what? Not your choice, not your decision, not your child to raise or birth to endure and not your ongoing health issues. Not your business.

I know of a teenage girl(18) who was 4 1/2months pregnant and didn't even know until that point. She went to the UK as she didn't want it for a variety of reasons nothing to do with the health of the foetus. So yep it does happen.

She wasn't pregnant for the 4 and a half months and just decided . She only found out at that stage. That's not the same thing at all.

The point is just because you choose to do something doesn't mean its right. That is where right thinking individuals need to come together to protect those who can't protect themselves.

    I agreed.

In Ireland women in crises pregnancies need us to come together to protect them as our Constitution places the same value on their lives as it does on the existence of an insentient being who cannot survive without the body of another human being to sustain it.

Well I'm not too concerned :) I speak the truth. There are 27,000 people in Portlaoise. I attended a rural CoI church. And masses are full in Portlaoise. Fr. Paddy Byrne is a big draw. As said maybe some who said they'd vote No will vote Yes too. It could depend on who has the bigger hidden vote.

After cora Sherlock pulled out at the 11th hour after repeatedly calling out Simon Harris to debate her.
    Finished that for you.

Regarding the guy who was canvassing in Laois. The Laois/Offaly constituency voted 56.81% Yes which would be disappointing in my view for the area which would have a lot young people living in commuter areas!

I'm not arguing that more abortions won't take place is Yes wins.

I'm arguing that nothing changes if No wins.

    You've missed the point completely

If this anecdote is true, it is extremely rare and no doubt she actually did know but was in denial. As a young woman, it's drilled into you not to get pregnant. To miss 4 periods in a row and not suspect a thing is practically impossible.

Will it be possible for NI residents to avail of abortions in RoI should YES win?

Surely it wouldn't be? Its not a business that'll be running in Ireland, it will only be done in extreme cases. Not as if you can rock up to Dublin and say "I want an abortion".

IF you are in NI and part of UK, I would assume you would still have to go to mainland UK to avail of an abortion?

Oh rumours ah they must be true then.

So you are saying Cora Sherlock didn't pull out at the 11th hour, despite calling on Simon Harris to debate her on a number of occasions?

Wait, what? So Sherlock who wanted to debate Harris but pulls out is proof that Harris won't debate Steen?
