We need to talk about the state of the police interview room they have in FC's cop shop and FC policing in general.....
Compared to the fairly commonplace looking Garda Station on Red Rock, it's like something from the nineteen fifties or before, and the station itself seems to be lacking any sort of background noise or activity.
That yellow paint looks like it's been there since 1940 something and the black mould on the walls (or is it just dirt) looks rank and unbelievable. Surely it should be given a lick of paint or have someone deal with the mould considering the Health and Safety Laws, etc....
There's no - or seems to be - superintendent. DI Yates might be in charge of the inquiry, but even the plain clothes man/woman in charge has to answer and give feedback to the higher ups in the course of the investigation.
In fact, there is no murder investigation team apparent at all - just Deegan and Yates. Oh, yeah, and we did get to see the white suited forensic lads once...
Where is the cop who dealt with Aoife's report of Dan and his rape of her gone? You'd imagine that given his bit of background knowledge that he'd be part of the investigation too, and maybe they could go down the avenue of looking into anyone who might have had it in for Dan - given the fact that he was her father, a rapist, and half-killed a fella once.
And back to their way of dealing with suspects/leads/persons of interest and their professionalism at large....
They question people ''informally'' in the Station/McCoy's/Vinos/Spar or out on the street and openly discuss the case in the pub, where the murderer could very well be listening... A bit like Jim doling out the medical advice and making a diagnosis before he was suspended.
At this stage - despite how much I like Yates' character, this will be another long, drawn out affair like the Katy thing, betcha we'll all know for definite who the killer is long before they cop - pun intended - on and the conclusion will be equally as farcical.
And why hasn't Kerri-Ann been formally questioned - she did have a bit of a very public scrap with Karen that night, or in soapland does being pregnant give you a free pass and put it all down to ''baby brain''.
Or Orla, for that matter, yeah they've asked her this and that, but never subjected her to a full questioning, and she was the one threatening to kill Karen and telling everyone what a slut she was in the lead up to Karen's death? Some cops might even think it was a joint effort between herself and Tommy (given his own history as a stalker and attempted murderer). She kills her, panics, phones him and he helps her out by telling her if the worst comes to the worst he'll give her an alibi.... You'd imagine anyone with a criminal history - especially if the crimes were committed against women would be one of the very first to be questioned, yet Tommy hasn't been questioned either - not even to formally confirm Orla's alibi......
Sorry; have to keep reminding myself it's FC and not a serious, realistic show.... :P

I know it's not a popular opinion, but why does everyone suddenly love blooming Carol and want her back with Robbie, save very few of us?
And why all of the Aoife hate.... I know she she and Robbie had a thing behind Carol's back, but does no one remember what a wagon Carol was and how she was behaving right up until and after Aoife showed up?
Carol is by far my most loathed character in the soap, because she's been going on like a broken record since I started watching it and before.
I know it's unpopular, but I actually like Aoife, and when she came back first, lots of other people were Team Aoife too, now everyone acts as though she's the worst of the worst, guilty of the most heinous crimes (it's realistic that the mother of a murdered child would constantly bug the cops and anyone they consider suspects) and has been a chain smoking, half-alcoholic, threatening, one time gangster's moll, then later, gangster herself for years - oh, sorry, now that would be Carol, now, wouldn't it, the chain smoking, snarling, etc, etc, not Aoife, the stable, law abiding, security expert, abused ex-soldier who was Robbie's first love and fiancee until Dan abused her and she disappeared from Robbie's life.... 0 -

I think the reason people hate Aoife NOW is because she keeps crashing into peoples houses threatening to kill them based on nothing more than police interviewing those people . Her lines are identical each time and indeed her acting , I mean identical ! It’s almost funny at this stage , but very annoying for viewers .
I agree and I said it way back that this story will be the Katy story for Summer 2018. It will run and run and run and run .................:(0 -

Different strokes for different folks I suppose but personally I despise the character of Carol- its been decades now since Billy Meehan and Aisling O Neill is still dining off it. You can tell she is just cruising to retirement and would happily light up fags and snarl at the locals forever. You could set your watch as to what Carol is going to do and she has never really played any other character so she technically really shouldn't even be called an actress!
All she does is bang the drum of having a rough upbringing- her gangster mates, Trigger Foley, mentioning Billy Meehan, playing the hard nut but the worst thing about her character is how hypocritical she is- she had had loads of affairs and treated men like crap and yet she blows the lid when Robbie goes off with Aoife, and he who had the patience of a saint when she hurled insults at him and got drunk night after night- in short, shes an absolute cnut of the highest order and the praise she gets baffles me- anyone can light up a fag and snarl, and at least Aoife and Nora HAVE acted elsewhere and can out-act Carol in 2 seconds!
Is it really realistic that after all that's happened to her in that town, that she would still be hanging around? She should be gone long ago and I would safely bet a years wages that she will be back with Robbie before year end.0 -
