Wind turbine on M8 nr Cahir

    What's the purpose of this wind turbine, I wonder?

    It's been there a long time, I think it predates the M8.

    If it's the one I'm thinking of I'm fairly sure it's not a wind turbine. Possibly a pump or art piece?

    There's another one of the egg beater type vertical axis on the next junction up, I've never seen it working.
