I predict we will be seeing the end of Damien soon enough. His character is going nowhere and we all know he is not really violent when it comes down to it. Could see him suicidal though and this is a story they could go with. Did we have a suicide story on FC yet?

Damien has been more or less irrelevant for years since Suzanne broke up with him. It is unrealistic to team him up with Caoimhe (who would not even look at Damien if it was the real world) so it came as no surprise when they split. They've done all they can with the angry tradesman and all the on off relationships he has with both his co-workers and his sister.

Suzannes racist ex Morgan committed suicide while in jail for murder.. Dr Jack committed suicide after raping Lorraine Molloy.. it was insinuated that Harry Molloy committed suicide..
Yvonne attempted suicide..

They definitely seem like they're going to go down that road but is it with Karen or Damien?

I'm friends with Maclean Burke AKA Damien on FB and he post the following status ''Jesus auditions are a form of self harm!!! Arghhh''
Maybe he has left fair city, Damien wants to sell the family home, etc.
Also in Sundays episode I notice there is new music played in the background in the station bar, in fact I think the music has been changed in all the premises.... Thank goodness.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Just in case, I will put the following into spoilers tags:

Looking at each potential character, who could get bumped off or commit suicide and why:

Damien: For the last few months, Damien is, well, being Damien but he is more unhinged than usual. His irrational attitude has only gotten worse. It would be likely he could commit suicide or have an accident due to his drunken state.
Karen: She comes across as misunderstood and she has gotten a lot of unfair treatment imo from her 2 boyfriends. They are the fools not her but of course she does not see it that way! She could do self harm and kill herself due to these 2 fools.
Kerri-Ann: unlikely, but Decco could get very angry and she could get killed in a fight.
Dr Oakley Storyline: This is the other source of most likely killing. Bob or more likely his brother could be targeted as could that solicitor. Miriam could be killed as ultimate revenge too. Her suicide now looks unlikely as she KNOWS what Oakley is doing to her. Bob's brother could also commit suicide in disgust at what he did. Also, Oakley could be killed by someone in prison.
Jack: Carol's son could end up being the victim due to neglect during some dispute between her, Robbie and Aoife.

To be honest a lot of Fair city actors have a second job because they might not be on the screen for months. It might not mean that he is leaving.

As bad as Damien is as a character, id rather he stayed forever and Carol left than he leave. She is a vile character with no redeeming qualities at all. All the things she has done to people over the years and she takes the high ground with Robbie, the nicest man she has ever been with (and shes had a few!). She seems to always be on our screens with her snarling and wrinkled jaw. Maybe she will be the one to get killed!

Surely you fudge about the time not being right, let time pass, get stronger mentally etc but you don't drive them over the edge. Aoife that was just plain stupid.

Carol despite all her faults, being very damaged and ruining most of the good things in her life has more heart in her little finger than the ice maiden Aoife has in her whole body.

I would have loved to see Carol deck her (Carol Decker, no pun intended!) in the toilets. Army training blah blah blah, Carol is twice her size and get in first and she'd sort her.

Sunday's episode ended with Miriam telling Jim not to go to the medical council or the guards because she had a plan. Today, there was no sign of Miriam or her plan. FC at it's finest.
