That Indian girl is tough, the afternoon shift in the Station and now the night shift in McCoys

Must be strapped for cash for extras

I think we can safely say Saoirse didn't inherit any talent from her father.

Any drama that was intended for Sean and Karen's "break up" in the Station was totally drained by the ridiculous singing of Saoirse's dad!

Damien goes psycho again? Fcuk me this is BORING. Either box the head off Laura or leave the soap-its the same old crap with him every few weeks.

Aoife and Robbie hooking up was brilliant, I never ever got what Robbie saw in Carol, with her miserable snarly wrinkled face and same old broken record background. Good to see Robbie happy.

I wonder does he actually have much acting experience or did he get the part just because he's Saiorse's father?

I wonder if Saoirse is watching her father's acting between her fingers, as she covers her faces with embarrassment

Don’t mean to be rude but Damien looks ruff

I think he plays a good drunk.

Army man again for god's sake!

Yeah, just nips back from the leb again in his oversized jacket to give Damo the ****test advice. Maybe the scripts got mixed up and that page from a while ago ended up being reused.

Apparently he has a fair bit from what i've read and heard. Introduced Saoirse to drama etc.

carol was always giving him a bad time - when she wasnt being a drunk loud brash lush she was burdening him with her drying father .. it never seemed he was ever good enough for her .. he's better off with Aoife

yes - a lot of actors are so unconvincing when they act drunk , and he plays the part perfectly. he's quite laddish as well telling his brother dont be a pansy and get the drinks down him. time maybe soon for a storyline to turn Damien into an alcoholic soon maybe and have him attend AA meetings , and i definately think they should have got him going to anger management classes by now as well - I know he saw that rude councilor woman but its not the same - I would like to see FC lead by responsibility and show him going to anger management classes and turning his life around and controlling his anger as a window to viewers of FC with anger management issues and showing them what happens and how they can help in a positive way.

I think soaps these days are a great medium to open up a plethora of real life issues and help viewers and break down stigma barriers if the story-lines are carried out properly and successfully

no, surely not - I wouldnt like to see it. Wouldnt think it was a believable match but there you go, and I would find it a bit creepy, he is a fair bit older than her isnt he?

I honestly thought when Orla was getting worried about him that before christmas that they were going to write it that Orla had an affair with him but then it all seemed to fizzle out and she doesnt seem as worried about him these days

I think that was also the Station in fact. The beer garden in McCoys looks somewhat similar but not identical.

God, that hotel gym where Karen works part-time is a little goldmine. After being there less than a month, she can afford to buy flights, book hotels, and have a ready-made itenerary for a four week holiday in Italy.
    As you do.
The rest of us poor eegits would be delighted to spend a long weekend in Italy at this time of year. But Karen doesn't do things by half. Either a month for two people in Italy or she'll cancel the whole thing.
Unfortunately for her, Sean can't go. Those floors in The Station won't mop themselves you know.....

Last night we caught a glimpse of Eoghan's Phone-case Emporium at the the market. Unmanned, of course, and with all the phone cases, otter-boxes(?) and stuff still on public display.
It's odd that none of the internationally known business men ever saw the huge profits to be made by selling phone - covers from an open - air kiosk in a deserted market stall.
That enterprising business man Eoghain, eh? The new Denis O'Brien of mobile phones.

I'd say Hayley's Mammy is about, what, 45?
That would mean she started having her family at about eleven /twelve years old.
Better to have these matters sorted out early in life, I always find.

If this was set in America I'd say Karen would be ready to shoot up the place.

Laura must have been shopping in Aldi with the McGraths tea bags under her arm.

Harmony is a strange character. She mentioned she'd be giving her mother a full-body massage in the apartment - that's just weird!

This is what immediately came to mind when I saw Karen come in out of the rain.
