If people are queuing at Spar Kilcohan things must be bad (prices are shocking there compared to Centra Johns Park)

Hopefully this is a once in a lifetime type event for Waterford/Ireland and we wont get it again

How the eastern europeans do this year in year out is amazing

They know it's coming and have well insulated homes, 1000s of snow ploughs, trains and trams systems that are designed for sustained snow/freezing temps. We just go "OMG!" Which is fair enough really. It could just as easily be mid teens and humid in early March.

Really deep snow, hard to walk around even. Theyre saying its a 40 minute wait to get in the door of Spar Kilcohan. Heffernans pub at Kilcohan open now apparently and Katty Barrys saying they will open at 4pm. I was out earlier, didnt see anything open, some people walking around but only vehicles moving were emergency services, deep snow on the streets.

I imagine going to a pub, having a few and then trying to walk home would be very fun

Tempted but not worth it tbh

Yeah appealing to have a pint in front of the fire at Katty Barrys alright...but getting home might be problematic, especially later when its colder again. Was hard enough walking around earlier as it was, never mind adding a few bottles to the situation!
