Aoife " I could have stayed at a hotel, you know."
Sure why would you do that, Aoife? You'd miss Carol's lovely smiling face while she's hissing and spitting and calling you abusive names.
The sight of Robbie and Aoife kissing and groping each other last night in McCoy's was (almost) enough to put me off my supper.
For feck's sake, teenagers wouldn't carry on in public like that. I know it's only mcCoys, where nobody ever looks up from their empty coffee cups, but still...
The only two customers with the ability to speak were the doctor and the the solicitor. As everyone knows, professional people always drink in the local spit'n'sawdust pub.
But sure they had other things on their minds.

But if Aoife WASNT There, it wold just end up being the predictable Robbie gets back with Carol crap that we all know is down the road. Do we really want more of that? More of that bore who couldn't act her way out of a paper bag snarling at Robbie, smoking and generally being a cnut?

I'm hoping Aoife stays and stirs trouble and with any luck knocks Carol out.

Carol can act did u not watch Fair City during the Billy Meehan era, she was very good in that domestic abuse storyline. She can act when she’s given good storyline and maybe she just wants to sit back now and collect her Cheque so f*cking what like plenty of other actors on that show.

I don't think she can act outside of the "Gangsters Moll I'm so 'ard me" stereotype. She might have been ok during Billy Meehan but shes been dining off that now for 17 years and it makes her a terrible actress. She really hasn't much range at all- all she does is light up a fag, snarl at people and write cheques she cant cash- Aoife put her in her place recently when she went to hit her- easily deflected and laughed off by Aoife. Carol is pathetic at this stage and only a sadist would want her as a partner.
Oh I agree with you about a lot of them just there for the money like Delores, Paul and Orla, there other weak actors. That's what makes characters like Melanie, Harmony, Manson, Jake etc a breath of fresh air for the show!

I agree I think she's very good when she has the right story line!

I'm glad Dolores got a new couch before Ronan moved in. The poor fella would have been very uncomfortable on her straw couch.

If I was Robbie and Aoife was offering it on a plate I'd be telling chain smoking alcoholic Carol to take a hike.

How exactly is Claire McSweeney - Oakley's solicitor - threatening Shane, Jim's son/nephew? Who's the man to whom she gave the envelope?

Jokely has the most lax visiting regiment in the history of prisons!

Aoife "Can we go somewhere else"

Robbie "No there's only 2 pubs in Dublin and I own the other one"

Dublin is NOT a tiny village on a remote peninsula or island. It's a city of 1.6 people! I know Corrie and Eastenders have only one pub but in London and Manchester they do have little insular communities in the Subarbs where people might all go to the one pub. Or at least the characters have a reason to be in the pub or in a group, or even a lad sitting at the bar. In FC it's constantly characters sitting in the pub randomly on there own drinking a tea or an orange!

They desperately need a few more sets.

Except for the hair colour, Lesley Conroy (Aoife) looks exactly like Clelia Murphy (Niamh).

Did you not hear Oakley arrange that with her during the visit?

It was a bribe and the guy is a prison officer.

    Poor Ronan

Wait so yesterday Robbie was saying things were going well with Carol next thing you know he's asking Aoife out to dinner? Have I missed something because I find hanging around with the woman I cheated on my wife with to be a little bit of an impediment to reconciling.

How does Oisin have contacts in the HSE? He's from Cork, is a general waste of space and extremely unlikable so I'm not sure how he now has magic contacts in the local area.

Joakely must be in playschool instead of prison because he has so many visitors, contacts, phone calls etc. you wouldn't think he was awaiting trial for kidnapping and double homicide ( even poor Dermot didn't get the luxury of a trial)

Ronan's death just goes to show how much of a non-entity he was.

    Overall pretty uneventful episode.

Would that be 1000 cash in Euro or Danish Kroner Jimbo?

What has Denmark got to do with it?

What has Denmark got to do with it?

They make lovely pastries and Oakley said take the cash from the Danish account.

Of course there was a trial for Dermot in the Fair City universe - it simply happened off-screen and hasn't been mentioned (The same happened with Barry O'Hanlon for Sarah O'Leary's manslaughter - that was how the charge Barry was convicted of was referenced in an argument between Niamh and Viv, Decco's mum, in McCoy's). Presumably, Dermot pleaded guilty.

While we're on that issue, I'm asking the following question:

Why has Dermot been airbrushed from the script? There hasn't been a single mention of him in passing since his departure - it's as if he never existed in the show (At least Barry was mentioned by Bob in a meeting concerning the Phoenix Way meetings hosted by Eoghan and Miriam in that house).

Will Ben come back from the US to see his adopted father? After all, after doing the time, Dermot won't be able to enter the US because of his criminal record.

Someone should say something to the scriptwriters about this.

Enda Kenny was right. This is a 'great little country in which to do business.'
Only yesterday Paul suggested that perhaps Dean should set up a food kiosk on the street.
Twenty four hours later, the kiosk has been bought and set up on the street, and apparently the only thing left to do now is to sweep and mop the floor.
Fortunately, despite having lived all his life down in Cork, in the two years he's lived in Dublin, Oisín has made important lifetime connections in Dublin County Council, the HSE and HIQA.
So Planning Permission, Health and Safety certificate, Food Authority Permit, and ESB and Irish Water connections will all be in place by Friday.
As always in this little country, it's not what you know, it's who you know........
Dean : "I need everything to be ready by the weekend. I may have a private party coming here on Friday night"
So, a private party, on the footpath of a public street, outside Vino's restaurant, on a winter's night, during the worst snow blizzard in 36 years.
Wow! That's gonna be a great evening!
Anyone know where I can get an invite?

She's alluring. A prime candidate for "Someone unusual you fancy".

Is Oakley part of an ISIS type terrorist group? Did I miss something or is this what the threat is about Shane? That some Somalian terrorist will kill him for 1000?
