Yer man Jim played the part of the supermarket manager in Intermission. In case anybody was wondering.

Jim to Bob - "Stay out of my way", cue every subsequent scene with Jim having Bob appear immediately!

At least Bob said what the audience was thinking when he said staying out of each others way in Carrigstown would be impossible.

The exact same as the last time.....

Jim infuriated that he was bumping into Bob everyday in Bob's diner.....

    I like Jim, he’s a good character.

Actually just wondering was Jim romantically involved with anyone when he was in Carrigstown the last time? I could see maybe him and Renee having an affair in the future.

Damien “the bills are stacking up”

Step One don’t pay €50 for flowers

Step two stop shopping in Spar

Has he even signed on the dole?

Seriously you need to start posting here more often again, your posts are sorely missed....

Be careful what you wish for, Seph. Wishes have a nasty habit of coming back and biting you in the ass (or the coccyx, since we're all posting on a medical theme today !)

Personally, I never liked her. I didn't think she'd last all that long in it, to be honest.

She drove me mad with all her crystals and cleansing ''negative atmospheres'' in Leo's house, and I never looked on her as being a ''nice' character''; just one of those ditzy generic, overly sugery and brainless female characters they bring into every soap from time to time.

Eva in Corrie mighn't be as thick, but to me she's from the same class of characters too - i.e - thick female characters with nothing really going on between the ears, except shopping, makeup, cutsy stuff, and random ''what the hell did she just say'' irrelevant things that make no sense whatsoever, or are in some cases - naive on the character's part - offensive.. (By the way, in case anyone gets offended, I'm female myself)

I far prefer characters like Melanie, Farrah, or even scheming Heather before she had her fall (actually, I liked post accident Heather too ) :D

I liked Kerri Ann only at the very start and then began to see her as a stupid character but of late, she has become a nasty character too. She is definitely the worst of the current characters in it.

She is always part of the filler inner stories as that Leo example you gave shows. Now, she has got a bigger role and is one of the main characters. Her story on and off for the next 6-12 months will be poor. Let's hope there are some good stories accompanying it. I think characters like the ones you mention and Charlotte are much much better and deserve bigger roles. I feel teaming her up with Decco ruined his character too. Early Decco was a great character caught between his bad past and wanting to be a better person.

That's where I know him from. Thank you

The Kerrianne storyline is just so predictable. Storming around like a spoilt teenager. How far along in her pregnancy would she be now? Knowing Fair City and their inability to do any sort of research she'll probably have a full term baby after 2 months.

But we had that before remember ? Orla being pregnant with Junior and it being Tommy’s child but nobody knew at that stage , then when Junior got a sore ear it all came out about “who’s the daddy ?” And it wasn’t Wayne .....it was Tommy.

Don’t let us go down this road all over again with Kerri Anne ......PLEASE

I read the spoilers for next week.
Ronan is back and Dolores admits to herself she has feelings for him and it may cause trouble between her and Pete.
Clare puts a lot of pressure on Jim. Dr Oakley probably has something on him.

Ronan must have made a quite miraculous recovery. He told Pete and Dolores he had only a few days to live last time we saw him (!)

Ronan returns with a palliative care nurse, I think he wants Pete or Dolly to help him die

Pete might do it and Dolores will get the hump with him.

Wayne might for Ronan's money if he leaves all to Dolly

I haven't watched Fair City since that boring ass story about niamh and Paul that dragged on for infinity. I check back in here every so often and it's gas I haven't a clue who most of the characters people talking about are!

Strange alright, most soaps could be missed for weeks and you wouldn't have missed anything :D

True and that was the case before I stopped watching! 5 minutes in Fair city was 8 months in the real world!

I’m sorry but would it have killed Laura to just play along a bit longer with your wan and go on another date for f*ck sake, we all know how things work in Ireland, it’s not what you know it’s who you know. If I was Damien I would be ragging at the biatch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,934 ✭✭✭✭fin12

Is Kerrianne hair a wig or extensions? It doesn’t look real. The end anyway.

I wonder will RTE actually be brave and get Damien to do something like beat up Laura or whack her over the head in a fit of rage and seriously hurt her when hes in one of his daily psycho rages? Or....just have him skirt close to the edge every episode, threaten people but not follow through on it for years at a time...

His character is bizzare at this stage, all he does is pretend to the world that hes not having a nervous breakdown. He should go out on a high and have him kill Laura...
