    Hi all.

I'm getting my uni supervisor a gift and he seems the type that would appreciate a nice whiskey.

I can't go overboard with it, but for a budget of €70 or less, is there anything that you guys would recommend?

Redbreast 12 year old is a great shout

Yellow spot is also a nice whiskey in that price range

Powers John's Lane is another good option.

Bottle of Green Spot over Redbreast 12 every time.

RB12 got nothing on the cask strength or the 15.

    Neither match his budget.

Green Spot can have a bit of a marmite effect.

RB12 is more of a crowd pleaser and safer especially if you don't know what they like in the first place.

    Redbreast 12 it is.

Thanks a million lads. I might treat myself to a RB12 at the meal afterwards to and see what the fuss is about :)
