In fairness the scene is very small, it's not uncommon for everyone to know each other

This guy knows all of them!

I wouldn't mind if she hadn't been married before, but she was married to Christy for probably years, then - no one ever seems to mention it now; it's as if it never happened - she was married to that elderly wealthy Brazilian man whose family took her to court, when she was living in Brazil with Heather and Brendan, because the family believed her to be a black widow, only after the money or something.... (not 100% sure, but I think they suspected her of murdering him too)

I remember the newspaper, Bob - it was him, I'm nearly sure of it, unearthed it (he was deeply suspicious of her that time), I think he was called De Souza or something similar (the deceased rich husband).

Remember Ray had a Brazilian lady in tow?

Kevin spends about 5 seconds saying goodbye to his family and Karen and then rushes off to a farewell party arranged by Christiano that seemingly doesn't include any of the people he actually knows..

He's an amazing advertisement for coming out, no internal conflict, no homophobia, just a moment of clarity and then immediately comfortable and accepted by everyone.

Just catching up with FC on Player now - it didn't come up on it until now - but (sorry if anyone has already remarked on it, but it's something that struck me straight away - haven't read your comments; will do as soon as it's over) but did anyone else think that the woman interviewing Damo for the job looked a lot like his Valentine's date? For a second I thought it was her and that the whole thing was going to be totally awkward. :D

Or maybe I need to visit the optician! :P

He's probably regretting giving Kevin the tickets now

Did Dermot ever get the ride off Jane, she got his house and does she even visit him

That's something I've been long wondering too.... But maybe with the dodgy liver, then the transplant thay never managed it....

Then again, he did make a miraculous recovery so who knows..... I'd say probably, Jane being the seductress that she is, but even at that, would you sign over your house - or would anyone else in their right mind - to someone you had a barely there relationship with??? :D

Ah, the joys of Fair City! :P

I wish it was that easy in real life to get hold of a free house! :D:P

I thought he'd at least give Hughie a hug before he left, especially seeing as they had great craic bonding over draughts....

So, is he gone for good, I wonder? And is this the beginning of a Farrah/Melanie feud?

    He might come back

Have to ask my mam about that one, but it sort of rings a bell... :) Was she a cleaner or something?

If so, they should bring her back as Nora's boss who gives Nora a terrible time! :D

There's a sort of inequality balance with regards the LGBT community in FC (and this is speaking as a straight woman) but as far as I can see there are a fair few gay women, but now that Kevin is leaving, only one gay man left....

I had a dream the other night that their was a terrible storm and Doug and Kerri-Ann were both squished to death by falling masonry from the community center!

I pray that your dream was prophetic! :D

Its a joke at this stage, I have never remembered a cast member to be in it so long continually as Carol- she has been in practically every episode solid this last year.

We all know how this Carol/Robbie thing is gonna end- either get back together or else Robbie leaves, yet another man to leave her life and yet she still stays like a bad smell. No doubt she will encounter a gangster from her past soon to keep her in the soap another 18 years :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think she'll get together with Cathal and reconnect with her gangland mates.....

After, of course, many non-starter attempts to get back with Robbie that always manage to backfire on her....

That was straight out of a James Bond movie. He'd make a fantastic Bond villain :D

I'm hoping he walks free on a legal technicality and Emmet gets banged up inside...

He was the best character ever - since I started watching at least - in FC. :)

His madness was unique, not your common or garden FC psycho (like Goo-Eyes - stupid name - or those other lot) :)

I actually thought the draughts moment was a really lovely scene! It took a long time coming but we actually got a sincere, genuine, sweet moment with Hughie and Kevin, both actors doing well, and then they get rid of him!

And is this the beginning of a Farrah/Melanie feud?

There definitely has been a few sarky comments, would be a good storyline! I have to say I am a big Melanie fan, although I do like Farrah too would be interesting to see them spar (sorry!:o) off each other!

Kevin was a real let down for me I was always hoping that Natalie should have reappeared!

Do we know is that Kevin gone for good? I always find it quite difficult to determine whether an actor has left for good or just being benched for a few months and there rarely seems to be an official announcement like you'd find in the UK soaps.

    Same with Ama and Caoimhe.

As for Farrah/Melanie possible feud, I like Farrah, but like you I'm more of a Melanie fan!

I haven't seen her with Leo or in any scene so I assume she's with her mother....

I forgot Leo had a daughter until you mentioned it.

I like both Farrah and Melaine. I used actually dislike both of them. The only bug bare with Melaine is she might turn into one of these poor me I had to work for everything characters.

I was reading an interview with him recently where he said he had read up on psychopaths for the role. He put a lot of thought into the character.

Does anybody know if Debbie is actually going on Sunday?

Looks like we're in for a week of
    Mondo and Kerri-Ann next week.

had to laugh on Wednesday night at the silent extra studying the soft drinks for ages, only to turn to the shelf behind him and pick up a packet of Bisto gravy instead.
That's a man who knows what he wants .

Again on Wednesday night, when the stag party fellas come into the pub, Kevin says to Hughie : "Bring those guys over six pints."
Ignoring for the moment the fact that there were only five 'guys', Hughie starts pulling the pints, and of course there's no need to ask whether it's pints of lager, ale, stout, or BabyCham.
Anytime I've been for a few pints with 'the guys', even if we all drink lager, (unlikely) mostly the lads have a preference for Budweiser, Fosters, or some other branded name. Not in McCoy's, though. You take what you're given, or go somewhere else. Actually, there's no point in going to The Station either, the same rule applies there.

Two weeks ago, Jane said to Carol, "I've got plenty of room at my place. You can stay with me."
Wednesday night Farrah to Karen : "I've got loads of room upstairs. You can stay with me".
A Dublin housing crisis? Get away with ya!

Boy, that councellor wan really knows her stuff.
"Damien, it's becoming clear to me that the problem here is that you have anger issues."
    Well, no sh*t, Sherlock!
"What you need is to start doing the things you want to do yourself, not for other people."
And for this 'professional' advice she charges 70 euro??
Jaysis, I could have told him him that for the price of a (un-named) pint.….....…

That asking for "a pint" really annoys me.

Are Heineken going to object if their product is named in the show? If so, why?

In my drinking days "a pint" unless otherwise specified meant a pint of Guinness.

FC are going to want payment if they mention any product names... Maybe the brewers ware approached and didn't want their brand mentioned on FC. Ha!

They could vary it then and mention a different product each time. That way they're all treated equally. Would be more realistic and stop making people shout "A PINT OF WHAT" at the television screen.

But if the Brewers don't want their product associated with FC, that won't work.. Only Brennens Bread seem happy with their bread been displayed.. Oh, and Cadburys 1990 Milk Tray.

Maybe it's due to the fact that it's aired before nine o clock. Is there not an alcohol advertising moratorium before the watershed?
