Didn't she say they set off the burglar alarm? Wouldn't they have heard it in Mccoy's The Pod is only across the road!

Also does Jackie always need to have a man with her. She had Bob, Tommie, Hughie, even Pete on the go at different times!

The stag party is still on?? Didn't it start Sunday? And why would they stay in Carrigstown for the whole length of it- by now they will have seen absolutely everything this town has to offer- Spar, The Pod, Vinos, outside the Station and the pub.

Good man Hughie. It's about time he was told.

Carrigstown is the new Amsterdam. I can just imagine 6 lads holed up in The Pod, cans everywhere, cigarette smoke smothering the air. Pat Af Caffee on his laptop shouting at Melaine to "Go dooo your jaaaaab" and Farrah egging him on. "Yeah that's it... put her in her bleeeedin place"

Two new families set to join Fair City
The Henaghan and Butch families arrive much to Carols delight.

She is torn between getting involved with the Butch family who own and run a Hummer limousine hire company and the Henaghan’s who seem to love the nice things in life but nobody really knows what they do or where their wealth has come from.

There appears to be some tension between these two families and Dr. Oakley has a huge smile on his face ever since they arrived.

Cathal has warned Carol to stay clear of both families but she’s having none of it!

In the words of John McEnroe....You cannot be serious !

What sort of stag party starts in a quiet suburb on a Sunday anyway!

Melanie is such a moody cow.

The local counsellor is hilarious. Delighted they've brought her back!

Good God, that therapist is one scary woman. Damo sitting there like a scared bunny while she shouts at him.
She has the same warm personality as the female cop.

Seriously though, FC's portrayal of a therapist as a judgemental bully is irresponsible. It could put someone considering seeking professional help off doing so and that's not good enough! Rant over. :)

I hope the therapist tells Doug he's pain and has no friends and and he isn't wanted!

Agree completely - dreadful portrayal of a professional supposedly trained to help people work through their problems. Of course different methods need to be used at different times, but straight off this wan kicks the head in like the Sweeney on a bust!

An insult to professionals trying to help & a deterrent to those needing help. God help Ireland trying to deal with mental health if this is RTE's portrayal .... ffs!!!

I’m just watching Faircity now and that c*nt of a counselor again, I couldn’t believe it? How has that b*tch not been reported? Why are they portraying a counselor like this? What’s the point?

She wasn't too bad with kerrie Ann but she gives the lads a hard time. She's like a hardcore feminazi.

Speaking as a woman who has had therapy on and off for a few years, that therapists behaviour is actually appalling! The first time I went to therapy my therapist actually said before I even started talking "we can just sit here in silence if you that's what you want" and then told me whatever was said was completely confidential and there would be no judgement.

That woman is actually insane and FC are definitely being irresponsible by doing this.

RTÉ should be ashamed of themselves for the portrayal of a Councillor there no way a Councillor would ever talk to someone like that they are meant to be kind and caring people

No, she's just an idiot. Plain and simple.

You know something on FC is really bad when even the ones on Twitter and Facebook who normally praise every aspect of the show are saying how terrible the therapist is!

Do all countries randomly sing Olé Olé Olé? I know it's not an Irish song but it seems more likely for Irish to sing it... surely a WELSH stag do would sing a WELSH song?

I emailed RTÉ to complain about this portrayal of a therapist.

I know Oxfam is the one in UK that people complain to about shows but what’s the Irish equivalent?

I take it you mean Ofcom in the UK. We have the BAI to the best of my knowledge.
Maybe they just want to show reality tough not all therapists are good!

You’re right, not all therapists are good, some are actually very poor. But RTÉ has a duty to the people of Ireland to broadcast a fairly accurate version of a serious job like a therapist because so many people are reluctant to go to one, and now none will! If we viewers knew that she was up to something else, then it would be okay, but as far as we know she’s just a therapist. So portray it accurately.

I don't think anybody would ever go to a doctor again after Oakley!
