Nothing but tumbleweed in a civil service office on a Friday avvo...the joys of flexi-time I'd like to be proved wrong though!

I disagree I am sitting working away here lol but then I was in from 7.30...
Aww mate, you're doing it all wrong!!!!!

Bailing at 3.30 2.5 day weekend
    Enjoy!

I’m starting to think I haven’t applied properly... were you supposed to email applications to the equality unit?

Yes. You were. Expect a wait of another 2-3 weeks if it was the dispatcher job.

Has there been movement for CDO?

2 weeks today since call handlers were told they had been successful at shortlisting. Would love to hear something today about the next stages.

I called at the start of this week ref: dispatcher, they were v helpful confirmed receipt of my application but said due to 3 posts being advertised and sheer volume of responses that I should allow another 2 - 3 weeks to hear about shortlist.
    Hope this helps.

They will likely be running the online testing for all roles at the same time for easiness of adnin so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Online tests will limely be Situational judegement and verbal reasoning

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,620 ✭✭✭Banterbus28

The tests will be online, if you have ever done a civil service test then you have a good idea what it'll be like.

Should we be concerned that Detention Officers are currently being outsourced to Noonan?

    https://www.indeed.co.uk/cmp/Noonan/jobs/Custody-Officer-2754a962e4596951

Do you suppose this is temporary cover until PSNI CDO's receive full training or have they not found what they were looking for in the last campaign?

Goimg by the licence requirements this looks more like a detained person escort role

Also i believe that noonan retained the contract for providing CDO ad hoc cover

You see that's what I thought. However, it's the role of the Prisoner Escorting and Court Custody Service to transport prisoners from custody suites to court... I don't know what the minibus D1 licence lark is about. It wasn't a requirement for the PSNI CDO's.

To operate mobile custody suites for events maybe?
