I'm keeping a note here of all the characters in this episode and where we meet them. Carol basically lives in Spar!

Big mouth Nora spills about the rape and tells Orla who couldn't keep a secret if her life depended on it to keep quiet.

Is Carraigstown on some sort of Island off Dublin I don't know about. How are these people so condensed together, constantly bumping into each other. Are they all squeezed into half a square kilometer?

Kevin's a better gay man than an American

    And.....f@ck these Spar scenes!

Stripey getting Miriam to make Emmet hate her has back fired spectacularly I'm feckin delighted :pac:

Does anyone is Carrickstown have a job? Carol has walked from Spar... back to Spar, to the Community Centre to McCoys. Aoife who came back for work has done literally nothing all week, Robbie does nothing but walk around having fights with the aformentioned two.

Also Karen got one thing right, no one gives a toss about her...This show really is just rinse and repeat.

I think Robbie made the right decision.

    Aoife should have glassed Carol.

Miriam and Stripey seemed to be wandering around all day - bumped into each other twice while just strolling the streets.

Carol must also be training for a marathon - in scenes tonight she graced Spar twice - before telling Jack that she'd bring him back to the shop for a packet of crisps, just after they sat down in Vinos. She then heads to the community centre.

As night time falls on Carrigstown, she makes her way to McCoys, where Aoife and Karen march in to confront her. They leave without buying anything, Hughie really needs to lay down a customer only policy. Carol then heads over to The Station.

After her visit to see Robbie, she runs back to Jane's house to let Cathal in.

And at the end of the night, she returns back to McCoys. Aoife also comes back to the pub. Maybe she remembered what she had initially came in for the first time.

I think they've literally ran out of places for Carol to run into Robbie, Aoife and Karen.

FFS, the only thing missing from tonight's episode was the Benny Hill music. Everybody meeting in Spar, everybody meeting in the community centre, everybody meeting in McCoys, everybody meeting on the street.

The coffee in Christ-E-A-No's caff must be vile, he buys one every morning in Spar on his way to work. :pac:

Aoife is so feisty. She's like a crouching tiger hidden whore. Cat like reflexes and a steely look.

Watching on plus one between all the gay and lesbian character they could have a spin off series just featuring them.

There must be a thing in the Debbie being a piece of work between this and Emmerdale.
Both can be horrible and go I'm just standing up for my family.

She learned all those traits while on patrol with 'Mattie'

Yeah its weird. Its almost like the production literally only have the Spar set and the community centre for February so they cram all the characters into the same two rooms all episode. Nobody surely would need to be in Spar 3 times a day?! Don't they do their weekly shop in Tesco or Aldi instead of needing a pan of Brennans bread several times a day?

Outside the Station is a great place to bump into Miriam, no matter what time of the day. And the only reason they show The Station in the background is for some context- to spell out to the viewer that here is a place where characters regularly go. And Debbie or Miriam weren't even going into or leaving The Station- the sign was just there for no reason! God forbid they bump into each other at the traffic lights or the local chipper...

What was going on when Robbie went over to see Carol near the end and Cathal appeared out of nowhere? What was he doing there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,417 ✭✭✭threetrees

Robbie is a bit like Fr Damo from Fr Ted. That hair flopping about.

I am liking the change of character in Aoife. Not all nicey nicey, this could get good yet!

That's what I was wondering too... Did she ask him over for some other reason, or was he with Jane?

That was one of the weirdest things ever... And was it her plan to have him there to make Robbie jealous, did he just nip in to use the loo, or did he arrive there on the pretext of looking for Jane/a glass of water, or whatever; then open his shirt when he heard Robbie's voice? ?

I just hope he sticks to his decision, and that we don't have to watch Carol trotting around after him for the next few weeks, begging him to take her back....

God! But I hope the script writers aren't trying to make Niamh and Paul mark 2 out of them - I don't think I could bear that.

Wish Niamh would come back just to take Carol to Fiji with her for good :D

The one I've been waiting for is Aoife and Robbie to be in the kitchen of Robbie's house, and Carol approaches and sees them through the window. Possibly with Carol on her way to reconcile but sees them and misreads the situation.

That'll never happen, the window is too filthy to see through!

I just watched Wednesday nights episode. I found the exchange in McCoys between Aoife and Jane quite amusing. The actresses played best friends/flatmates on The Clinic years ago and one of them was married to Keith Duffy's character. :D

There's definitely something going on with the set alright. I know it's being changed so they must be limited at the moment. There's a severe lack of houses and it's ridiculous they way everyone is bumping into each other, it's overkill.

Robbie is some thick b*llocks, he’s trying to win his wife back yet he sees nothing wrong with hanging around with the woman he slept with and takes her side every time her and Carol are having words.

i was hoping for a long story-line for Kevin learning who he is and accepting it and slowing going on the scene learning about his life but for it all to be done in about 5 episodes is stupid

one minute he's straight no gay

Even the whole thing about him going to a gay bar was unrealistic. He took to it like a pig in muck most people would be cautious and bolt out of their and but he just watched Cristiano dancing!
