agree with the summation of why it is a fumble. however as they were both on the ground as the ball was being ripped out that to me would be both are down by contact, and the play is dead and its essentially a fight for possession then to see who has it.

Hadn't thought about it that way, it was such a fluid motion that when Jack (I think it was) came up with the ball he was untouched and in my eyes had a clear lane to the end zone.

My view on it is that he was not down by contact as he was not touched once he had possession of the ball? I haven't referred to the rules though so obviously just my interpretation while watching at game time.

I think down by contact was the correct call, he ripped the ball off the back while they were on the way to the ground.
You cant have contact with an opposing player on the ground, or on the way down, and get back up to progress the football.
And if you take the stand that the player was not contesting for possession when they hit the ground and only took possession afterwards, then it was still in Lewis' possession so should have been ruled down by contact, no fumble in that case.
The call on the field was 50/50, but either way the whistle was correct imo.

Just watched the Tom Vs Time Documentary on FB. Very much worth a look as a Pats fan. Obviously there are some promo elements for the TB12 method but to be fair I'm ok with seeing it from his perspective as opposed to the ESPN "Tom and Alex are biggest snake oil scumbag salesmen" perspective for a change.

Biggest highlight for me is that he has binders upon binders of gameplan notes and he keeps his suspension letter too.

For reasons known only to them and their trash outfit, ESPN have a serious hard on of hate for Brady. Apart from Mike Reiss, I tend to stay clear of their trash. But as someone who works within the constraints of conventional medicine. I have no problem seeing and understanding the very obvious logic in TB 12's lifestyle. One of his main tenets is "Pliability" or basically staying loose and flexible. The more flexible and loose you are, the better your shock absorbing abilities become. Take a look at Ryan Giggs, I remember when he was plagued by hamstring injuries during the early part of his career. He was advised to take up yoga and his hamstrings never looked back. Yoga also encouraged him to live an healthier lifestyle and look how long he ended up playing for. Healthy eating, adjusting the body's Ph levels, reducing inflammation & susceptibility to injuries can be done without the need for big pharma's product range. What Brady's is doing is logically sound imo, but it's very tough to do because it requires a monk-like discipline to do it. Brady has those qualities in abundance, most people don't.

From chemotherapy agents first being discover from oysters, to heart medication being developed from wild flowers. The natural world has given us all our major breakthroughs in pharmacological treatment. Of course big Pharma doesn't want Joe Public knowing that. They want you to buy their tablets with the unnecessary additives. And they want you to remain ignorant to the fact, that the natural world has given them the ingredients to make their bloated profits from. The best treatment for long term pain and pain associated with terminal illness is cannabis. Legalise and patent that as a medication globally and Pfizer, Glaxco and MSK ect would lose hundreds of billions of dollars annually. With their multitude of treatments being replaced by Mother Natures natural remedy - cannabis. Unfortunately the lobbying power of Big Pharma is unrivalled. So thrash like ESPN will continue to knock Brady or anybody who promotes healthier options, to ESPN partners and the very valuable advertising revenue streams they provide.

Anyone remember The Swine Flu outbreak back in 2009? Well of the hundreds of doctors & nurses I know and have worked with. I don't know one that had The Swine Flu injection. Why? Because by quality clinical trials standards, the vaccination was untested, contained mercury and other dangerous agents, which had potentially serious long term consequences down the road. And that's what has emerged since then. Deafness levels amongst kids who received the vaccination is unnaturally high. Never mind the cases of autism, increased Alzheimer's risks, Asthma and long term Gastrointestinal and Respiratory problems. So when The Executive Board of The World Health Organisation was sending out global alerts, to get the Swine Flu vaccine back in 2009. What they not not include in those alerts was 1 - The vaccine was not properly tested under stringent clinical trial standards. 2 - That the vaccine contained dangerous ingredients which posed a serious risk to long term health. 3 - And the last, but the most revealing fact of all was, those very same WHO boards members that pushed for the vaccine. Were themselves holding directorships & significant funding grants from the very drug companies that were producing the vaccine. At best it was a blatant conflict of interest and completely unethical. At worst, what they did was completely criminal. Not that you'll ever have this reported upon on RTE or BBC ect. My apologies, I went off on a rant here.

tl;dr Brady's a smart guy, who knows what he's doing and with his global profile and big fan base. His healthy lifestyle & natural approach, threatens the profits margins of those who want you to live from a box of pills.

Because Alex Guerrero has one bad incident in his past that then the media gets to use that to go all in and trash the TB12 method but tbh I think they would have regardless. Whats funny is that its ok for Michael Phelps or RGIII to sell Subway as health food or LeBron and Peyton Manning advertising eating McDonalds and Papa Johns when you know none of them would dare touch that crap they are selling. You get the impression that TB12 actually practices what he preaches. The main selling points of the TB12 method is diet and exercise and of all the diet fads out there, this is the one that actually has real results; a 40 year QB playing at the highest level possible with no signs of slowing down. Of course its the TB12 method that gets trashed in such a sinister manner.

It never ceases to amaze me how much hate there is for TB12, BB and the Patriots. Even today, Tom cancelled his radio interview on WEEI as another radio host on the channel called Tom's 5 year old daughter an annoying pissant after she was in Tom's documentary calling to her dad that she was going out to play soccer, again she is 5 years old acting like a 5 year old. Boston radio is as bad if not worse than the national media, the biggest sports shows just troll Patriots fans constantly trashing the team and BB's decisions. At times you are left thinking that the Pats are as bad as the Cleveland Browns.

Hating the Pats sells, it trolls Pats fans and it feeds the hate of the haters. The ESPN article about the end of the Pats from a writer with little to no exposure to the Pats organisation using unnamed sources was the biggest story of the Divisional Weekend. Unfortunately the byproduct of all that hate results in overblown incidents or fictitious incidents as people want to believe that there is no way the Pats are that good, they must be cheating.I wouldn't mind if it was honest hate and people owned up to the fact that they hated the Pats because they win as I have no problem with the neutral fan who wants the Eagles to win because the Pats win too much, but it does tick me off when the "neutral" fan wants the Eagles to win because the Pats are cheaters or TB and BB are smug a$$holes. When the Pats win in spite of those folks, it does make those wins a little sweeter.

tl;dr I'll never get over the haters :pac:

You really have to wonder what the hell is wrong with some people to make a comment like that about a 5 year old girl. I really hope that guy loses his job over it.

He most likely will as Brady basically told Kirk and Callahan :
“I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and show you guys a lot of respect,” he said in the audio above. “I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys, so it’s very disappointing when you hear that, certainly with my daughter or any child. They certainly don’t deserve that.”

“I’ll obviously evaluate whether I want to come on this show again, so I really don’t have much to say this morning. So, maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time.”

I usually catch that show every Monday and heard it earlier and Brady wasn't happy and rightly so.

Reimer is a clown and really annoying to listen to especially when he tries to be funny.

I usually listen back to that show from the On Demand later in the evening or the next day. There is feck all content available from yesterday's show, looks like they did not publish anything to do with Riemer.

Radio hosts try to out do each other with outrageous statements.

Not that long ago Michael Felger on the rival station in Boston said that Roy Halladay deserved what he got when he died flying a private plane.

But Alex Riemer went way to far this time.

Over the past year or so Minnehan has been pressing Brady on the AG stuff bit by bit, not going hard after him but asking questions that should be asked.

It would not be a huge surprise if Brady pulled the plug on this one after Sunday, it has been going on since 2001 if I recall.

yeah I'd usually do the same, listen to the podcast later. so when news of the interview was breaking, I was even more interested to get the pod cast of it. There are snippets of the show, a half hour discussion after with some call ins about it. The guys fairly laid into him though which I was surprised at, calling out one of their own work colleagues. Now I'd expect them to say he was wrong etc, but they were very damning of him and happy he was suspended from their network. Pretty much saying they didnt like him anyway.

Since John Dennis left that show the fill in hosts have basically been disposable and there as already been plenty of BS back and forth between Reimer and the likes of Minnehan over the past year, how much of it is real I is another thing.

He'll never work in New England again.

    I agree with you.

For me Felger is a clown and one thing you never do is cross the line between their professional and personal lives especially where children are involved and as much sh1t as these radio show and podcasts and tv shows go on about Riemer crossed that line and there is no comeback

Typical damage control so they don't lose Tom's input on their shows.

I have to say I feel quite comfortable about a Pats victory on Sunday. I think it could be the first Brady Superbowl to end with with scoring difference >7. Obviously a lot depends on how Foles plays but if the Pats are within striking distance come the 4th I can only see one winner.

Now, I did say the same before the Jags match so....:o
But the only team I really feared once the playoffs were decided were the Steelers. I genuinely thought they were finally gonna do us in, but fortunately we all know how that played out. Anyway, for the second match in a row, I'm going for by Pats by more than 7.

I wish I had your confidence. Having Gronk this time is huge though.
But I worry about the D (QB pressure) and if the OL have a bad game.

Wonder will we score in the 1st Quarter

I think its a 50-50 game tbh. I feel that the Eagles roster from is probably marginally better than the Pats' roster barring the obvious QB position so i think if the Pats come out flat like the Vikings did, the Eagles will make it a game. Also Pats don't do easy win Super Bowls, they have all been nail bitters, I don't think this will be much different although I'd love if we trounced them and i didn't have to come close to a heart attack...could the Football Gods please give Pats fans an easy Super Bowl victory for once? C'mon help us out one time!

Side note, I'm actually going to be in Bangkok watching the game at 6:30am local time, so that'll be an interesting experience.

They will leave this to the very last second allowed. Talks are he has been unofficially cleared

It just came out he was limited in practice today.

It would make sense to leave it to the last second if they could, give the Eagles a false sense of optimism that he wont play. But I'm not sure its their decision, i think its an independent doctor that clears him.

Yeah and the next visit of that doctor is Friday. He will be fine.

Limited in practice just means he didn't work out as 100%. That could mean he only do the warm-up before leaving, or it could be that he wore a red shirt where he normally wouldn't. Seems that he didn't wear the red shirt in the latest practice where he did before so it seems he will be ready to play if he is taking hits in practice.

Rob Gronkowski limited during Patriots practice
The Patriots coach clarified that Gronkowski went through the session without the red non-contact jersey he wore during previous practices.

    It's the big day.
I'm in work for 12 hours today and off tomorrow so I may end up sleeping and watching the game "as live" tomorrow morning.

Go Pats! In TB12 we trust!
I'd be happy with a typical pats win with the final scoring drive. PHI are in the top 5 scoring offense and defense, this won't be an easy one.
