I am not worried at all. Not the first time he has been banged up and not the first time a mountain has been made out of a mole hill

Getting slightly nervous - lots of noise about the Jags winning... of course everyone has to talk up the game and their chances but their D stats are not just talk.

Check out Dola's press conference he cant keep a straight face. There is nothing wrong with Brady.

Brady refused to talk about the hand, refused to say whether he had thrown a football. When asked did he practise he gave the ambiguous answer "I was out there"

Genuinely had me worried there, hopefully a mountain out of a molehill or the Pats deciding to set the agenda for the media rather then listening to other made up **** all week instead

If this is true and its a minor cut he will be fine by Sunday. Not ideal having a cut on the thimb of your throwing hand as it will stick like a mofo but he is will be fine

I thought Trey Flowers was phenomenal tonight. Great win against a great defense.

the athleticism on that final stop from gilmore was unreal. Number 6 incoming.

Danny's next press conference should be funny.
He can tell that he was the secret weapon. :D

What a performance in that 4th quarter. A privilege watching this team, one of the greatest clutch sides of all time in any sport. Phenomenal.

Tell you what when this train stops it is going to hit hard!

Not gonna focus on that now while the improbable is still made look routine:) Some ride we have all been on this last couple of decades almost, now in the Brady era heading to an 8th SB, it has been an absolute privilege to witness this. I think the Jags posed the biggest match up issues of the remaining teams and it was some performance to come through it.

    One more.

Another team goes to the Superbowl with Tom Brady, his 8th Superbowl . It's been a blessing to have him, 40 years old and he's better than ever.

    Still dizzy from that game.
Offense stunk for so much of that game, and the D wasn’t much better. Obviously credit to the Jags who came to play, but 4th quarter Brady/Pats came to life again. The loss of Gronk was enormous, but GOAT just showed why he’s the best ever; still the best in the league at 40yrs old.
8th SB, pretty much every other year he goes to the SB.
It’ll end some day. But what a ridiculous ride it’s been.

My first AFC Championship at Gillette and what a game. Not going to lie the happy tears nearly came at the end what a time to be a Pats fan. My heart though :D Go Pats!

What a game, honestly after the way the game started I didn't see us putting up more than 15 odd points so I thought it was all over when they got to 20.
Danny Playoff came up huge, punt return, 3&18, 2 TD's what a 4th quarter performance.

    What a game.
For ~70% the jags were possibly the better team but when it mattered, TB12 and co came up trumps. 4th quarter, 2 minute warning in the first half.

When cooks dropped the ball when wide open, and the "fumble" (which wasnt a fumble as the ball was pinned to his hip when the knee went down).... I was thinking "oh no not another giants/NE moment!!"

Really? There was no way that was not a fumble. There was absolutely no way that it was getting overturned

It was not a fumble. With all this "is it a catch/possession etc" people get confused. Once you are down with the ball (it can be pinned at your head.. doesnt have to be in your hand) that's the end of the play.

Agree. Once the call was made either way it was not being overturned.

One thing that angers me every time I see a replay of that play, Shaq Mason.....
He was the inside blocker, why didn't he look at the inside threat once during that play?
He continues running down field and fails to make contact with anyone, instead of picking up what should have been an easy block for a big play..

Most of the OLine - while they have improved over the season - still have questions to be answered. I've never been a fan of Mason.

I think we have different definitions of pinned tbh. I'll have to look again but iirc the ball didn't stop moving, well until the editors pressed pause. The fumble began before he went down, he never regained control of the ball. Touching a ball rolling across your body is not control.

Were you watching the sky coverage?
The point where the tanned guy with the shirt that's too open says it's pinned to him it's not a fumble. That's my argument too. The others (one anti-patriot, one defensive back, and one clueless brit) were of course going to say it's a fumble IMHO.

It's a close call... and of course the review was not going to change the mind, "stands as called", but it was a fumble.

great comeback. to be honest, I wasnt overly hopeful heading into the fourth, and especially after Lewis' fumble (right call IMO, the process of the ball being knocked loose happened before he hit the ground, the ball was coming out, it was never securely in his possession).

But I suppose being a follower of this team means you never lose hope, especially when Brady is involved. That fourth quarter from him was exceptional stuff. Absolutely brilliant. Some of his throws were unbelievably spot on where there was no target room at all, but yet he squeezes in a pass perfectly.

Another Superbowl! It has been some run since 2000.

Plenty of articles saying it was a fumble.

    I watched gamepass.

The ball was between his hand and his hip, yes. But the ball never stopped moving for any significant period time. It looked like it did because they paused the replays but you cant honestly say he regained possession at all

Though I agree theres an argument it may not have been a fumble, I think it stays with whatever the call on the field was and I am not sure why you refer to Clark as anti Patriot, or Neil as a clueless Brit? Gayle is a defensive back but again doesn't make him blind.

It is funny you don't know the name of the white tanned guy with the shirt thats too open but go along with him no problem because he affirms your own opinion though :)

Mason not picking up the block was a problem but for me watching it live I was more pissed off at Lewis hesitation and not following his blocks properly allowing the strip to happen at all.

The ball comes loose, whether he fully regains possession before it comes out is up for debate, which is why I think it would have stayed with whatever it was called on the field whatever way that went. If he was ruled down there was not enough in the replays to overturn that either.

Luckily it didn't cost. Jags went 3 and out, it was whistled dead incorrectly too which was a bit of luck we got. The Jag who recovered should have been off to the races for what would surely have been a game winning TD.

I don't "go along" with his opinion, it just happened that he was the presenter with the same opinion I formed while watching the play.

Yes, I said that above, ultimately whatever was called on the field was what it was going to be.

+1 against a better team offense we would have been penalized for that fumble and for missing of a couple of wide open catches - drops rather than brady being off target. The jags just seemed to disintegrate when it mattered, the last 2 mins of the first half and the 4th quarter. That spells out coaching to me. NE -as we all knew - were going to be the better coached team and it was borne out in the 4th quarter.

agree with the summation of why it is a fumble. however as they were both on the ground as the ball was being ripped out that to me would be both are down by contact, and the play is dead and its essentially a fight for possession then to see who has it.
