Is this set tomorrow? Carol was on about sending the little guy to school. That detective gets around, she flits from Spar to Vinos to prison to the hospital in record time.

Well i see kevin has reappeared...and knew Dan was Karen's father. He asks Hughie for water for her...she didn't take a sip. They get a cab to the hospital yet Cristiano is able to walk there with sandwiches.

Laura and Damien ask for their food to be bagged up in vinos, suggest going to the Hungry Pig, and then pop in McCoys. Where did the food go?

So Dan is officially dead. This was inevitable with years. What can one say about him? He came into it a few years ago as a non-eventful run of the mill character who was the new publican. He was then a love interest for Carol and then he had another woman called Sally. He was Robbie's friend, and ex army. Then, he is left paralysed and there is the story of his depression during his adaptation to his new life and a trying it on with his nurse. Then, he participates in what was one of the worst and most annoying storylines ever. The Condors basketball episode was annoyingly sandwiched between parts of the Cathal/Flynn/Ballyntine story. Since then, he was up to not much until they brought in Aoife and Karen. He then became a rapist and became hated, then became a hero and became loved again by all except Robbie and Aoife.

I think it was the right call to get rid of this character as he was going nowhere. Ama is no loss either as her character had become pointless too. Kerrie Ann next please. All these characters need to get a makeover or else be gone. The poorer episodes of FC tend to have a top heavy dose of characters like these 3 because there is nothing much that can be done with them it would seem.

There is a chance now to improve the Emmett character. So far, he has been shown as reckless and not smart and easily taken in. I think a full prisoner not coping very well story could be good. Maybe Dermot could be brought back too. They improved his character last year. Damian is another character they could exploit. I think he has always been a very angry and controlling individual with something clearly wrong in his makeup. It is time to take this further.

Dan was involved in a love triangle with Carol and Yvonne which actually lead to the gas explosion which lead to his paralysis
