Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I did. Just got a reply stating there had been a large number of applications and they were still processing so would hear in due course. Didn't give a timescale unfortunately.

    I got an email to say my application form didnt download properly and to resubmit. I think I will take that as a sign that it wasnt for me.

    Any more news on this? I got the email also asking me to resubmit my Equality Monitoring form because of a printing problem back when it closed

    Yea they more or less chinned me off.

    Summary;

    Massive response so it is taking some time

    They are currently processing applications for all roles

    Can't put a time frame on it

    No news is good news, as they will he in contact with everyone as soon as they are finished.

    Who applied for what?

    I just applied for Dispatcher, as much as I'd love the chance to do the CDO and the call handler jobs, I couldn't take the pay hit

    From what iv heard they are doing all the internal applications 1st then going through the external ones. Think courses are due to start shortly or might have already started.

    Incorrect.

    Public bodies will not recruit internally and externally at the same time. PSNI staff are represented by NIPSA and they would have a **** fit.

    This was 3 external campaigns which are open to everyone including existing staff.

    It is UNLAWFUL to discriminate based on external/internal in an external campaign.

    If there was an internal campaign or trawl then it would be running seperately.

    I've applied for the controller aswell mate for the same reason, it's a tougher challenge, been in the police now 3 years and I say it's one of the hardest jobs to do in the job!

    Honestly the clout NIPSA have in the public sector is quite scary. PSNI staff are u derived civil service terms and conditions, hence PSNI staff are offer Civil service pension and not police or local government pension.
