Reading all that, it makes me unbelievably disturbed thinking of one of her breakout roles, Hard Candy.

I don't get it. Why pull a production only to release a statement declaring the person's innocence?

Eastwick should have an independent spokesperson in that case. The quoted excerpt came from a BBC spokesperson. I find that bizarre given they're the ones who are holding him guilty.

A BBC spokesperson has said the actor denies the allegations. I'm not seeing the problem.

The guy that accused Charlie Sheen of abusing Corey Haim, Dominick Brascia, has been suspected of abusing Haim for years ever since Feldman wrote his memoirs and dropping in some not so suttle hints that Dominick did it. Today Judy Haim (Corey's mother) officially named Dominick as the abuser today.

Greg Gutfeld's 'Red Eye'! That must be a few years old!!
Greg is bat**** crazy. This is typical of what was on that late(very)
night show. Wondering if he will be talking of Louis C.K.'s downfall on 'The
    Five'? :D

Thank you for posting! It was funny in the beginning but the end
was disturbing, even though the anger seemed fake.

It is fake, she's an actress. It was a scene from his tv show. Hiding in plain sight.

‘The Flash’ Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg Suspended Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations
Andrew Kreisberg, co-creator/executive producer of the CW/Warner Bros TV DC series The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, has been suspended from his duties by the studio today over allegations of sexual harassment, with WBTV launching an internal investigation.

“We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg,” Warner Bros. TV Group said in a statement Friday night. “We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation. We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.

Kreisberg has been one of the top lieutenants of Greg Berlanti, the boss of the CW/DC universe. He has been a key auspice on all DC series, with primary focus on serving as showrunner of The Flash.

“We were recently made aware of some deeply troubling allegations regarding one of our showrunners,” Berlanti Prods.’ principals Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter said in a statement. “We have been encouraging and fully cooperating with the investigation into this by Warner Bros.

“There is nothing more important to us than the safety and well-being of our cast, crew, writers, producers and any staff,” they added. “We do not tolerate harassment and are committed to doing everything we can to make an environment that’s safe to work in and safe to speak up about if it isn’t.”

I am not keen on this approach. A production like that has literally hundreds of people involved. One of them is a bad guy and all of them lose out on exposure and residuals? It's massively unfair. I look forward to seeing someone in that position suing. Anyone with a percentage in their own movie must have a great case.

Impressive turnaround. I can just picture Scott on the publicity trail next month chewing on a cigar while talking about how easy this was.

Genuinely impressed by how fast it seems to have been done and I'd say that Scott relished going to the producers and getting his way with Plummer.

Has this ever happened before? Where a star was totally written out of a movie just as it was about to be released?

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 36,711 CMod ✭✭✭✭pixelburp

I wonder about the scenes from earlier trailers that seemed to show Spacey on location in more exotic, far-flung locales; did they / will they just green screen Plummer into those or maybe reshoot somewhere easier to spec & set-up.

On that note, Scott claims he took on the reshoots as a fun challenge to himself; apparently Sony dismissed the idea the idea, Scott responding with 'hold my drink'. Not bad going for a man pushing 80, whose age has I've definitely read being used against him.

I know it's happened with animation a few times, I think both Paddington and Her had voice actors recast although I don't think it was to distance from original voice actor.
I can't think of any time it's happened live action though.
