    Tues 26th Sept

    5.4 miles easy recovery

Easy run home from work in evening.

    Wed 27th Sept

    13.5 miles with 10mp @ 8.18 avg 1.52 hrs

Up at 6am glass of water and out the door, from Clarehall up trough baldoyle to Sutton cross, down as far a tonlegee rd, turn up TG road and up trough edemore, back up Springdale rd to Malahide Rd, down trough fairview onto quays to point depot, then back up to city centre to work. Misrible windy wet morning, windy first 3 at MP so headed away from coast, but results in a couple up hill miles to Malahide rd. had decided not to push to hard for MP and just settle into easy rythem, but because I wasn't fully committed to the run it felt hard to settle on pace, left glute was little sore and uncomfortable for full run and sill bit sore, first issue with it, so just on watch list. Probably reason why never fully got into run. No fuel, no water - apart from all that fell from sky.

    9.09,8.37,8.07,7.57,7.57,7.59,7.56,7.59,7.58,7.52,7.54,7.48,10.16,9.53 halfmile

Very solid run G on an empty tank. Was reading your route description and surprised that it does not amount to more miles. Most people just get a coffee on the way to work :D

Nice run G . Good call not to run the coast , there was some blow in off the sea this afternoon.

Bit of off the cuff running to get out of wind, that's why I ended MP part at point. Only 12 miles to point Depot.

Thanks T,Yeah was funny wind on coast coming from about
45 degree angle, didn't fancy it, hate running into wind
On my own, especially for 5 miles or so.

I was going the opposite direction , fairview towards baldoyle , was blown all over the place but it was good , I would not have fancied running baldoyle to fairview direction on the coast ' I did that on the malahide road and it was tough enough along there.

I did an out and back, from Fairview to the end of the Bull at the BVM Statue and can vouch for the fresh wind this evening :). Who did I meet only Mrs Mc powering out towards home at a very nice canter.

:pac: preferably somewhere that has no wind :pac:

Well done on the session G, not an easy one first thing in the morning. I did it tonight and the wind was just a gentle breeze :D

Must start looking at forecast, but you know us Dubs are soft anyway, it would have probably only be a light breeze for those raised on the Atlantic Coast :p

    Thurs 29th sept

    5.34 miles. Recovery @ 9.43 avg

    Recovery run home in evening.

    Friday 30th sept

5.34 miles easy with 8x 20 sec strides

    Run into work no watch.

    Sat 31st Sept

    3.12 miles 25.55 @ 8.19 avg

Pacing 26 mins at parkrun, nice morning for 4th birthday at St Anne's.

    Sun 1st Oct

    19.4 miles @ 8.44 avg. 2.49 hrs 1.25 miles tail walker at St Anne's Jnr 18 mins

Out door at about 6.40, little latter than wanted, so little under pressure to get run in and back for Parkrun, so little faster than planned, but nice slow C/D
Over dressed totaly for this double layered and running jacket, so slow first couple of miles messing around with clothing trying to carry first then tied around waist, which resulted in being even latter. Mile 17, stoped with Mrs G to get dry top to finish a little more comfortably, didn't stop watch. Will probably cut back on MP miles for next week LR as this was little more on steady than easy side. Picked up pace for last bit and all felt comfortable.

    10.23,10.04,8.57,8.43,8.44,8.44,8.31,8.28,8.33,8.33,8.27,8.25,8.09,8.15,8.25,8.34,9.38,8.39,8.28,7.01 for last bit.

    Thurs 26th Oct

So no running bar few failed attempts that resulted uncomfortable run then pain. Got 40/60/90/50 mins on cross trainer couple weeks back, when I thought might make start line, but nothing since I decided to knock on head, seems to be mechanical issue over loading left side of pelvis, so will let it recover rather than keep aggravating it. Hopefully catch a few if you on course or in mcgrattans.

Think my Marathoning is over for time being, will hopefully start to strengthen and keep at shorter distance. Best luck everyone running Sunday.

Was really sorry to hear that G, it's frustrating and no doubt disappointing but you will come back stronger even if it might be hard to believe that right now. Best of luck with the recovery.

Feck G, you crossed my mind today before you posted on my log and I was wondering how you were fixed. That’s just annoying now as after seeing you in Charleville you looking to be in great nick. Hope you recover from it soon.

Kind of guessed something was up over the last few weeks Gary. Decision made and operation rebuild is underway. Hope to catch ye on the day.

mind yourself, recover well and then get back into it. Disappointing this close but right decision so as not to do long term damage.

Sorry to read that G, I was wondering where you'd got to. The best of luck with the recovery.
