Currently 26th, Harmon struggling on 18, 8 foot putt for par.

Jue to no play yesterday, a lot of those high up the leader board and guaranteed their top 25 place have WD. Hope that's not skewing the money for the high finishers at Seamus's expense.

Missed it, looking good now for Seamus.

Can Castro catch him with birdie on the last? Missed a makeable birdie putt on 17.

Not sure of the prize money but if Castro gets eagle he will def pass Seamus. A birdie I'm not sure . Could be very tight

Castro just missed his eagle putt, was tracking all the way! That would have put him 24th, Seamus has 25th in the bag now!!

He was lucky Harmon missed from 3 feet on 17 and 3 putted 18 too.
I think Seamus will be ranked 50th of the 50 web graduates so he will struggle for starts and will find it difficult to plan a schedule. The good thing is that they rerank the web graduates 5 times throughout the season so the more money he gets the higher he moves on the list the easier it will be to get into tournaments

Does the fact he finished 126 on tour this year help him for some events? or is priority after 125 completely based off the 50 from web.com?

A great week for Irish golfers continues as Seamus Power secures PGA Tour card by just $287!

he cut it close, great achievement for him..

The 50 from the web are a category higher than those who finished 125 or worse on previous season so he is better where he is after today . The main problem is events between October and April are limited fields to around 120 to 130 entries due to shorter daylight hours

Needs a fast start before first rerank.

    Anyone know when that is?

This was the re-rank from last year, so I'd assume this year will be a similar pattern:

    • The RSM Classic (Nov. 20)
    • Genesis Open (Feb. 19)
    • Shell Houston Open (April 2)
    • Wells Fargo Championship (May 7)
    • FedEx St. Jude Classic (June 11)
    • John Deere Classic (July 16)

So he will play this week, then have 2 weeks off and then play 4 in a row before the winter break.
I guess there is a good chance of a rerank at that stage so fingers crossed he can have a good start which will allow him entry to a lot of these limited fields mickmackmcgoo mentioned.

    eta... cheers Martin

Shot -2 for today's round - tied 12th right now, but early days yet. Nice start though.

Not a good start to this season, missed cut by 2 last night

  • Registered Users Posts: 395 ✭✭Beaulieu

Not surprised that he missed the cut. He said on off the ball that he had played in 8 of the last 9 events between trying to squeeze into the Top125 on main tour and then getting through the Web.com playoffs.

Nice 68 to start for Seamus today. If he gets his weekend scoring average down a bit he'll have a good year hopefully.
