Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Data Programming as Part of a Course.

    I am interested in a particular course with THe NCI which includes a large emphasis on Data - data programming, data management and data analysis, there is also machine learning.
    Can anybody please tell me how difficult these topics would be for somebody who would have found programming in basic tough in the past, indeed very tough.

    What programming languages or aspects of programming do you have issues with?

    I have only ever done a bit of programming in Basic and I found it difficult. I have no idea exactly what data programming entails, but it would be related to finance in this instance.

    It is hard to know with out more info.
    I have not used Basic since we used to write programmes on Commodore 64s, coding/programming has changed alot since.
    Have you tried any recently?
    How are you at maths?
    What aspects of IT are you into?

    You would be exposed to programming languages such as Python and R. They are less verbose than other static languages such as Java and C#.

    Hi, my question is that part of the course, I hope to do, will have an element of data programming in it, Data mining and data analysis and apparently machine learning, all related to working in financial services, I don't know what is really expected, in the past, I did not like learning programming in Basic.

    Also, I have very high numerical ability, but would have found Calculus a complete nightmare and did pass maths in the leaving. I would, given time and space and hard work, be capable of becoming a qualified management accountant.
