Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could give me some help please. I need more space in my computer and I was looking at getting another hard drive. I have checked already and I have a spare sata port to use to plug the drive into so there is no problem there. The problem is powering the drive. I currently have 3 drive in my pc. I only have 1 6pin pci power cable available. I have searched the internet and everything I see it not what I need. Does anyone know of a way of powering a hard drive from a 6 pin pci cable. Thanks in advance for the help everyone!!

I was seeing loads of them images online. Can that be done? Its ok to power to hard drives off 'one' sata power lead?
I say 'one' as I mean one sata power socket from that has the splitter giving it two so your picture said.

Chances are your PSU is already offering three on the same cable. Going to four shouldnt be an issue unless your PSU is very crap.
