A few photos from today in no particular and just of whatever took my fancy. Got chatting to the owners of the blue 504 and R8 Rover 214 which has a great history to it. An enjoyable show and my very first time being here despite it being very well an long established. Without further adieu

A nice thirty year old 205 van. I don't know of these were an Ireland only special or if they were sold elsewhere. Car vans like this (particularly those only sold in Ireland) are in my opinion absolutely pivotal to Irish motoring history. I've been saying that for a while..

A few more commercials. I remember the Dyna selling coal around Dublin city up until a few years ago. Nice to see it saved

Nice shots there Duke, lovely to see plenty of original Irish pre-87 registrations still knocking about also as per the Civic, Renault 5 etc..

My arm even features in the last photo of the 504, along with my son, my E28 and another Boardsie I was talking to (Noel)!

There is a great story behind this car. The first owner of this car is still alive at 103. Said owner gave up driving in 2003 but kept the car up until last year and had her daughter regularly drive her around in it. Now, the current owner also owns a 1953 Hillman Minx, and after some digging it turned out that the original owner of the Minx was none other than the husband of the lady who owned the Rover. So when the time came to sell on the Rover, they wanted to give it to the current owner, as he would have both Mother and Father's last cars. Sadly it lost a hub cap on the way up to the show today, but nonetheless its a cracking car. 70k miles on the clock

Anyone care to shed any light on the "garda" bike here? I'm thinking not an official Garda bicycle but perhaps it was owned by a force member and this was just a deterrent..

    my E28

I remember you posting you were looking to buy an E28. I'm not in this forum as much as I used to (moderated it on my own for 10 years :)) but did you make a thread out of it? Finding it an buying it with lots of pictures? If not, you should!

I'm actually in one of those pics, so much for hiding in the background! :p

The V10 Ram starting up sticks in my mind the most along with the XK150 :D

Duke the AI corolla is the one I got a pic of a few weeks ago turning into the filling station with the soft filter

Looks like a good turnout, and mix of cars. I haven't been to the Trim show yet, even though it's almost "up the road", but maybe next year. Thanks for uploading your pics!

I really like that shot of the red Corolla. It reminded me of another car from that era - the Datsun Sunny B11, its direct competitor.

Thanks. This was my first time at Trim and I really enjoyed it. Will be back next year.
