The lies made up to invade Libya

    The amount of lies made up to invade Libya was pretty worrying and even worse was how the public just take everything at face value.

    One of the craziest pieces of propaganda to surface was that Gaddafi had a secret sex dungeon where he kept dozens of teenage girls which he raped regularly, this had somehow gotten the support of Amnesty International but after the war amnesty then claimed that this probably wasn't true and was simply propaganda.

    Another was that Gaddafi ordered his soldiers to carry out mass rapes against Libyan women, Gaddafi was also apparently distributing viagras to his soldiers so they could keep up with all the rape, the claim also had the support of Amnesty International, just before the war hundreds of women had come forward to them claiming they had been raped by Gaddafi forces but after the war most of these women had mysteriously dissapeared and soon after Amnesty released a statement questioning the justification of Nato invading Libya.

    It seems in the build up to these types of wars there is always strange lies told to the public before them like Saddam Hussein apparently having nuclear weapons.

    Sorry my bad it was amnesty who was questioning this and saying that this was being pushed by the US and UK to gain support for their campaign.

    Poor aul Colonel, betrayed by weasels, and taken out by two of the most disingenuous arseholes you could find, namely Clinton and Obama.

    I recall the sentiment around the time that we were meant to be happy that he was deposed and his murder was somehow worth celebrating. It was a moment which really highlighted the vindictive, callous, unethical and blinkered view being shoved into our faces as what represents an acceptable narrative. My initial reaction to seeing what these rebels were capable of was not a positive one, and one which has had repercussions for the rest of the world ever since.

    On what basis was his murder justified? On what basis did the international community rally around supporting these scumbags who rolled into town on tanks to take over the place?

    The man had a vision for his people, and Libya is a lot worse off since his leadership ended.

    Gaddafi inherited a mess and turned it into the 5th richest country in Africa and now look at it, I wouldn't p*** on it if it was on fire (which it is)

    Whats the point going on with this ,when Blair and Bush got away with war crimes the like off was never seen before its a lost cause them 2 turned the middle east into a mess and were the causes of isis rising out of the ashes, the brits and yanks have their noses in every war going on around the world and then run when the people revolt against them and they are the ones giving out about russia and china the whole thing is a joke,but its alright Tony Blair said i made a mistake ,both of them were in the pocket of the jews well we all know what they are doing ,libya oil iraq oil millions of people dead but its ok Blair says sorry.
