Apart from the obvious interest in our own games the South Africa v France series should be good viewing.

Australia v Scotland will be a good one too given Scotland are...ahem...virtually at full strength.

It will be interesting to see how Georgia get on in Argentina.

Agree on all three counts. What's odd about the French tour is that both sides will come into the series with low morale and are fighting from a very low base by their standards. Given we've 2 years before the World Cup, both squads need to up their game big time.

    Who is RCG?

They're a side in the Welsh premiership.

It's the North Wales development squad. And I had to check that myself.

It's the 5th Welsh region at underage level while the seniors play in premiership.

They won the national cup this year, but it's a bit of a weird fixture, suppose the best comparison would be if Ireland were to play one of the Province A teams.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

Should be some great entertainment. If both are giving it a good go then a depleted England should be pretty evenly matched against Argentina. South Africa and France should be well matched too (I thought France showed some real positive signs in the 6 nations) so should provide a few good games, as long as neither collapse. You would fancy the Australia matches to be a non-event but it wouldn't be the first time Scotland proved a banana skin for a SH side.

Nathan Earle having an impressive debut, lightning quick and very physical in defence.

Ireland v USA is on NBC Sports. Can't find any irish broadcaster, possibly Eir Sport again :(

Can't find anything on the Japan games, just that they're not listed on Sky Sports rugby schedule:

BT Sports have no rugby listed for June bar the Under 20's. At this later stage they'll probably take up whatever Sky Sports are't taking up.

There have been some strange ones over the years but I'm pretty sure Camara missing the France tour to South Africa because his passport is ripped is up there.

I'm most surprised that they can't just get him a replacement quickly. Or an emergency travel document. Must have walked up to the airport with it unawares.

I'm just impressed that their training camp is in Reunion. Tough life playing for France.

That's a pretty unimpressive squad. Especially the forward pack. The backs don't look great either. I suppose if they're going blood some new players with an eye for RWC 2019 then this is the time to do it.

Shame there is no coverage of the Japan tests. RTE covered them 12 years ago (possibly delayed coverage)

My takeaway from the tweet is that no broadcaster in Japan has been decided yet, meaning there are no rights to sell yet to international broadcasters.

I expect the USA test to be on Eir Sports at the very least.
