And it means nothing to him/her. Sharing a one bed prison cell with a special friend called Buba for a year or two might focus their mind a bit more.

Tis a siggy indeed, must have retired the Mondeo in Dundalk so...

How the Hell can some posters tell the make of the Garda car from that picture?
    You lot should be detectives.

    Reflection in the wing mirror.

You should take a look at the guess the car thread. The most obscure piece of chrome, or a tiny part of the panel and some would know straight away.
Not the kind of posters to reverse image search either

The wing mirror is what gave it away for me.
The insignia has a specific design if that makes sense which caught my eye.
Re the 25 year ban, I wonder what the person must have done to get a 25 year ban?
    Dangerous driving causing death?
They really need to look into shannon being able to check if the person buying the car is actually entitled to drive a car.

No they sbsolutely don't, you can own cars without ever using them in a public place.

We need to stop proposing stupid controls on people's lives.

Do you honestly think a man driving around on a 25 year ban is going to give a fúck about what Shannon says about ownership of a car? All that would achieve is the further píssing off of the law abiding citizen.

OK no need to get your knickers in a twist.
If a person on a ban buys a car then shannon spotting it can alert the police and have the car removed before he ends up crashing and leaving the other person with the repair.
If you are a law abiding person how would my idea affect you? You buy a car and you aren't on a ban so what sort of impact is that going to have on you?

Even If I was on a ban why can't I own a car?

A driving licence is a driving licence - not an ownership of property licence.

How about making the systems that are currently in place functional, rather than adding further unenforceable 'rules' to the mix.

What's it to you or any government agency?

    If I was to answer:

    To restore it,
To drive it on race tracks
To drive it around ones property
To drive it around someone elses private property
To lock it in a shed for safe keeping
To block a gap in a hedge
To break it for parts to sell
To sell on for a profit

I give up, pointless continuing on and taking the thread off topic.
You've your opinion and I've mine.

So a person on a ban is more likely to crash than a person not on a ban?? Do you have statistics for this?
Plus me owning a car and driving a car are two totally different things, bit of a stupid proposition from yourself.
