Wraps I made earlier (with beef marinated in chilli, Thai spice, garlic and soy sauce) with finger chilli, potato mash, onion and peppers in the wrap. Pretty nuclear.

Just had a pork curry. Wrestling with my catholic guilt, v the need to use up sausages and bacon before they go out of date.

    :o

Opted to avoid the meat today. Instead had an Easter egg for lunch.

Got a "Chopped" salad, and winged it: duck, orange, peppers, broccoli, Thai dressing. Weird but good.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Hot cross buns. Fresh and nicely spiced.

Good Friday, so just spuds and fried eggs with baked beans for dinner. I'm already hungry for my nightly chocolate fix, which won't happen. :(

Avocado with a dash of garlic and a sprinkle of parsley, with a rapeseed oil, salt and white wine vinegar dressing. And a bucket of tea. Salmon coming up for dinner, but unfortunately I'd forgotten that it was Good Friday, so no Friday wine for me this week.

Here in Germany, many of the Good Friday (Karfreitag) traditions are still observed. It's what's known as a stillen Feiertag, a silent holiday. Many taverns, bars and restaurants remain closed, and there are laws against dancing and raucous behaviour in public.

The eating of fish on a Friday is still widely carried out, and so we went for a simple home cooked meal of scallops in a butter and parsley pan sauce to start; followed by black sole, celeriac puree, samphire, wilted sorrel and a lightly smoked shellfish reduction.

This was served with a jug of freshly made apfelschorle

The entire meal was a stunning success.

I was in a restaurant yesterday and they had a pizza called Bizmarck.

    So they did.

    Should have taken a pic!

A crappy ham sandwich, a few Neo biscuits (fake Lidl Oreo) and a packet of BBQ Hulahoops.

Can't wait for work to end, so I can eat something more substantial :)
