I realised the chicken I bought for Sunday is out of date on Saturday, would it be ok eating it a day after?

Freeze it? Dunno if that'll actually help you but I often buy meat, freeze it till I need it (well past the use by date), defrost the day I want it. Job done. I'm not dead yet but I'm not sure if that's the reassurance you're looking for...

Or even cook it before Sunday and then reheat it? I don't know if that even makes a difference, but that's what I've done on occasion. Freezing is also a good option - that's what I do with all my meat

I'm cooking German dumplings in tomato. Have no idea how they will taste. Edit, they were nice!

They are pork dumplings from the German range in Lidl. Just simmered them in chopped tomatoes and a bit of hot water, salt and loads of black pepper. The spices from the dumplings seeps into the cooking. It's so easy a child could do it.

Last of the olives (anchovy stuffed), ends of random cheeses in the fridge, some ham.

And a massive glass of red.
