Why does it matter if it's Quick Play or Competitive, you either play for the team or you don't.

Some people view QP as a "do whatever you want" mode. I still like to try to win in QP myself as I dont find constantly losing enjoyable. QP is less "Sweaty"

I'll probably spend most of my time in QP, for the team comps you get, at least there's no abuse or problems with your whole team quitting.

Play CP with the boards group. I've played with them a few times and theyre a good group of lads.

Hadn't played in days because I chose the calm atmosphere of the Witness, but I played competitive today. Won 5/5. Pretty sure it's just trying to entice me back by putting me on good teams

Very satisfying game earlier on defence Numbani where I hear a mumbled "Junkrat?" For fúck sake..." Then he proceeds to spam "Thanks" in my face and melee me during the setup.

Easy to rack up damage with Junkrat but I got gold damage and eliminations and we held the first point. He was quiet after that. So tempting to send him a message saying...

There is a nice middle ground between "do whatever you want" and "do whatever it takes to win". Some times I get sick of being the one to take a tank or support in Competitive. If I'm going to give up my first hero choice preference in QP then I may as well go to Competitive.

I go to QP for a more relaxed game. That's what it's there for.

Comp is 'stressful', play by the numbers stuff. After I play that for a while it's good to unwind as Torb on a payload attack map with no real care if I win or lose.

Maybe Comp is a different ballgame altogether from QP but Junkrat tends to be a massive pain in the arse from what I've seen.

I've come across plenty of decent Orisa's, and from my own experience she's a terrible substitute for Rein, so i cant wait to see a decent Rein playing.

I love attacking like that where you launch Junkrat into the air and rain death down on an unsuspecting team. Haven't managed to do it as smoothly as that dude though.

She's only been available on Live for 6 days, most people still won't have figured the best way to use her yet.

I don't think she's a replacement for Rein but someone to compliment him.

She seems decent at attacking a chokepoint with Rein alright. I've seen some good videos of her nullifying a Tjorb. Sticking a barrier in front of his turret and mincing it with her gun. Maybe you could even pull him away from fixing it with the orb.

She does do a great pair with a Rein, me and an Orisa on Kings Row, literally just a walk the whole payload, Bastion on top cleaned shop.

I just hate the look of her, she doesn't do a bad job some of the time though.

The developers specifically stated they want her to be an option to replace Rein. In which case I think they have failed as her shield just can't compare.

Well they can always reduce Rein's shield hp to get them closer while upping his armor to compensate. The main benefit of Rein's shield is it's big hp amount after all.

Had a horrible game last night on Volskaya.

We did GREAT defending Point 2, but on Attack had a Widow who couldn't hit sh*t and refused to switch, spent the whole game duelling their Pharah (and losing).
Then our Sombra tilted, spent 2 minutes in spawn and doing sweet-FA.

The main benefit is his ability to rapidly turn it on or off as the situation dictates. If you've an enemy Rein waiting to lay down the Earthshatter you'll see how inferior Orisa's shield is. Do supports get less SR per game? Got 30 SR for a good game with Soldier, first game after a loss too so it wasn't a win streak. I've never got 30 SR with Mercy, no matter how good I've played.

I used to get around 26-28 for a win with Lucio but since the 23rd I've been getting 19-24 per win for some reason.

There was a post on Reddit recently suggesting that after the last patch supports are getting less SR, because SR gains are somewhat dependent on your performance, and they've tied performance to things like Offensive/Defensive Assists, which were recently reduced in terms of Fire, which is likely the only in-game performance stat it monitors.

I didn't really follow the conversation in any detail so I don't know what the current state is.

It might also just be that you're a terrible support

There was a bug alright where supports were getting half the SR of what their teammates were getting for a win. In a Discord group where people have said its happened to them.
