well done lads, no doubt about it Brady and Billichick greatest of all time, and hightower is going to get paid. Collins and chandler jones must be sickened.
I didn't want to talk about it until a few days time. You are right, Hightower (and Butler) are going to get paid; I juts hope it's here. Letting the contracts run down was a big risk by the Pats, and it may now depend on the offers they get.

Both Butler and Ryan are probably going to get a lot of attention as starting corners. We mat pay Butler, but I reckon someone will pay Ryan way more than we'll offer. At least Hightower has seen that first round money.

I saw Bennett's talking after the game and I reckon he'll be gone. He has a chance at one last really big deal, and I don't see him getting it here.

As for Jones and Collins. It's probably tough watching it from home, knowing they both could have been there. The Pats were never going to give Jones the big deal, so it was the right call at the time for him to move (given it looked like he was going to a contender). Collins has gotten paid, but he's with the Browns, and as good as he is, that's a handful of wins a season that he may have to look forward to (unless something major happens).

I'd like to give some recognition to Danny. Clutchdola came up big again last night, made some great catches at key times, and of course fought to get the game tying 2pt score.
Gave up money for the chance of another ring. Worked out kinda well for both sides :)
Could see them asking for another restructure for next year.

I thought the best move was Jones making a great play to get them to the 22 yard line with a couple of minutes left, and instead of playing conservatively and ensuring they held field position, they go to pass play, Ryan doesn't get rid of the ball and they take a sack to lose 12 yards. Then a penalty right after. A field goal there and then and its 31-20.

From a Broncos fan : well done folks, an unbelievable win !
Before the game I had picked the Falcons, I just thought they were the better team, beating all before them in what I thought was a better division ie. NFC.
After 3 Qs it looked like I was right!
    I then went to bed........doh.
I couldn't believe it when I saw the result, unreal !!
Hats off to Brady & co for turning it around. Imagine giving Atlanta a 25 pt start at the beginning of the game, most would say "it's done and dusted" and then push that thought out to 3rd Q , I still don't believe it !

I was just thinking about last night about Goodell and the booing. I don't think that will go down well with his bosses because that booing was done in front of a world wide audience. I'd imagine the owners will not be happy about that.

It didn't look good, but a good portion of his bosses were very happy with the actions he took. Plus, it probably added more viewers to see what would Brady do after the game and when collecting his MVP trophy.
Thing is, profits continue to be good.

I see Martellus Bennett was already talking about going into free agency as a Super Bowl champion and how they usually get paid more.

I know it was probably just a joke comment, but nice to see where his head is at

Honestly if he would rather take a dip in the FA it wont bother me too much he will end up on some ****e team and be back to being a dick in the locker room again in a years time. As much as we need him we really don't and knowing Bill he will find a TE from the depths of nowhere like he always does.

I suppose it's going to happen with some of the players, especially the guys who we give a second chance to and rehabilitate their careers. But the way I look at it, if we can do fine without Gronk, then we'll manage without him if he follows the money.

Just finished watching the whole game again and my heart was racing just watching it, especially the 4th quarter. It's almost still hard to believe we just did what we did. Brady was right, there were about 30 big plays you could pick out from the game, so many players just stepped up when it mattered.

That win was even sweeter than the one two years ago, it meant a lot to me. Deflategate negatively impacted me personally, i was obsessed by it, the injustice of it made me irrationally angry. The lies, the faking evidence and how the media reported everything the NFL said as fact was infuriating and all the people with an axe to grind with the Pats using it as excuse to go in on them. How Tom remained and still remains so classy about it, even with how it affected his mother, is incredible. I think this win is justice and it ends Deflategate for me with the Pats giving a giant middle finger to all the people who came after them for the last 2 years.

This win shows that no matter what handicaps you put on the Patriots whether it is BS suspensions, taking of draft picks, changing the rules, this team is will not be stopped. We are truly witnessing greatness. Yesterday cemented Tom Brady as the Greatest QB of All Time and BB as the Greatest Coach of All Time...there is no debate anymore.

See someone stole TB12 jersey last night and reports came in that a staffer locked it away but apparently it is still missing. What scumbag steals Bradys jersey after winning the bowl. A few slaps deserved if someone did steal it.

Just the way it is I guess. He was always likely to be a one year rental. Even more so now that he has his ring. The Pats won't be giving him big money anyway.

What a fantastic game I'm watching it all over again , I was crying by the end , I thought with the touchdown in the 3rd for the falcons it was out of our reach but when they got it to within 16 I perked up and got myself back into the mindset that we could still win this thing and they delivered
Brady had a good run in the 3rd with 4 mins left and none of the falcons tried to make a hit on him and it summoned up the teams for me , they both gave it there all and respected the hell out of each other
    Brady goat
Je11 better as it went on
    Amendola great when called on
White could have been the mvp
    Hightower was great
    Gotskowski made me nervous
    Lewis for me was disappointing
Blount was well intended but never got going

Bennett can go and we'll pick up somebody else to replace him. Jack Doyle had a nice season with the Colts and is unlikely to get big money in FA. If he came here and had a good season he too would be able to earn more.

When you see all the players that have come here in recent years and gotten big money after spending a year or two here it has to be an attractive place to go on a short contract. Browner, Ayers, Revis and Talib all got well rewarded for spending some time with the Patriots.

He actually got rather lucky didn't he, would have been a very different conversation in here if NEP hadn't made the two 2point conversions. Even his second FG almost drifted as much to the right as the PAT miss.

He was probably the best kicker in the NFL over the previous five or six seasons.

I noticed very early in the season that he was going all the way through on all the kicks. I think this was the root cause of his misses this season and I think the reason it happened was the change in the rules as regards kicking it out of the end zone on kickoffs. They wanted him to keep the ball in play this season which was never the case before. When you try shortening long kicks it will affect the way you kick the ball. Only way to shorten long kicks is not go fully through the ball.

The morning after Bill wins his 7th ring.

He's right. We gotta get to work if we want the GOAT to win No.6.

If that was on sale at the Pro-Shop, it'd make for quite the home-coming parade :D

You know Kraft and Belichick both saw the shirt on the plane and OK'd Patricia to wear getting off the plane. Publicly they are keeping it classy (mostly) but its great as Pats fans that privately they feel the exact same way we do about Goodell and Deflategate.

This was on Devin McCourty's instagram:

Also, walking into work today i passed so many Pats fans coming into the city for the parade, which amazing considering that the weather is fcuking horrific. I just walked through South Station where all the commuter rails come in and there was tons of people getting off the train chanting "Brady!". The funniest thing is that the weather is so bad that all the schools are closed and that all the High Schoolers are using it as an excuse to get into the city for the parade. Can't make it the mile to get to school but can travel all the way into Boston for the parade lol
