I bought a fulfil bar so we wouldn't have a repeat of yesterday's big gap between lunch > gym > dinner.

Was meant to be for 5pm.

There's only 2/3 of it left. I keep breaking off "just a teeny little bit". I'm crap.

I'm slinging the stuff for my version of Indian Butter Chicken into the slow cooker for later, and have a pot of sweet potato and leek soup on the stove on the lowest setting.

Had scrambled eggs and maple bacon for brekkie with a strawberry yoghurt to round off. I'm trying to eat a little better since the Christmas break was so depraved.

I know butter chicken doesn't sound healthy, but it is!

Homemade Slimming world Salt and chilli chicken, with rice and mayflower curry sauce (healthy!)

Attached the recipe below if anyone would be interested in making it one day, it's delish

    Doing the real McCoy tonight!

Cornflour coating for chicken - similar calories to that instant mash stuff but better.

Chicken was marinated in 5 spice and pepper - no harm there.

Finely chopped red chilli with green and red peppers and onion - no harm there either.

Here's where it all falls apart calorie wise - deep fry the coated chicken and then plant it all in a wok with the veg and stir fry! Now that's delish!

Low cal version - coat the marinaded chicken in corn flour and place in the pre-heated hot oven for 25 mins. Add to a wok with olive oil and veg, stir fry very quickly. Bobs your uncle.

    Splash down on some noodles.

Mayflower curry sauce is neither healthy or required.:D

When I was very young my mother put one of those tins in the oven but forgot to open it with a tin opener and it literally burst out of the oven like a bullet it got so hot, opened the door and all with the force of it. Her cooking skills were often lamented after that incident. I was only about 4, scared the sh!t out of me.

Last year I put a container of potato cubes into the oven not realising that the container was plastic..it melted into the cubes and the smell was disgusting when I opened the oven..ashamed to admit that I ate a few from the middle before I dumped them ðŸ˜

A good few years ago I ordered a chinese takeaway. A beef dish. Wasn't ready to eat it on arrival so heated the oven up too at least 100 to keep it warm. It kept it so warm that when I took it out the plastic container had mated with the food! Lesson learned. Nowadays its heated up to barely 50 and of course the containers are far better.
