I don't care about scum drug dealers shooting each other in dublin.

Any news on the girl? Was really feeling bad for her, its not normal a news story gets to me but that attack seemed horrific :(

+1 on this. The more scumbags get rid of each other the better. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Surely a young girl being savagely attacked in that manner with the perpetrator still free is more of public interest.

You would think so because realistically what we have here is a very, very violent thug attacking someone who hasn't a chance against them, do we just wait for another attack before we decide this might be not only a matter for this poor girl but for everyone?
It's in the interest of general public safety that whoever it is found fast. It's not something a normal person could do.

Has there been any news on whether there have been any leads from cctv etc?

Hope to God the poor girl involved is recovering, it's going to be a long hard road.

Very worrying for residents and students and their families.

until someone innocent gets caught in the crossfire. you will be one of the ones on here whinging. so, not live by the sword die by the sword.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

I agree with you. I think though the problem is that the media tend to like to pick over the details of the lives and crimes of these "bad guys get their dues" cases rather than focus on the public safety aspect of them, which is the most worrying part.

The attack on this girl is just as serious though, if not more so, as it's wholly aimed at an innocent, vulnerable person by someone who is clearly dangerously deranged and at large. They need to be caught. There's no point hoping they've gone away for good now but it still gets less column inches than gang crime.

Whinging about an innocent dying? Strange comment.

Your simplistic comment was far stranger! The whole theory of 'good to see scumbags wiping each other out' would be great if they were all on a desert island rather than mixed in with the community.

Getting back to the point, it is a shame to not have seen anyone arrested for this yet. Meaning whoever did it is still at large and could attack another girl.

The fog was so heavy that night it obscured most CCTV. She suffered head injuries so there's a good chance she won't remember anything about it. Extremely unsettling.

It is good to see scumbags wipe each other out. I never said it is good to have people caught in crossfire, I never said it was worth having innocent people in danger. I said it is good to see a scumbag wiped out. And it is.

This thread is not about scumbags shooting each other lads.

Why? Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? He was piece of **** who murdered someone. So yeah, I hope it was drawn out and painful. Let all the animals who inflict suffering on innocent die slow and miserably.

Who said you were supposed to feel sorry for him ?

Personally I have no need or desire to see 'the animals' die slow and miserably . It says quite a lot about those that do .

He was tried , convicted and sentenced , we have long dispensed with the need for revenge in our justice system .

And died a lonely miserable death as befitting a scumbag.

The man shot in Dublin wasn't known to gardai, no criminal convictions, they're not sure if he was the intended target and his partner and children were in the house when there were shots fired.

But fcukit yeah, scumbags shooting each other, yay, we're all better than them so who cares.

Not that what happened to this girl isn't awful but that really is a repulsive attitude.

Well we ARE better than violent large-scale heroin dealers who terrorise as a way of life, and damage communities.

I don't like the idea of anyone enduring terrible physical pain but I still don't feel saddened or disgusted by the sentiments towards him on this thread. You reap what you sow. These are just words on the internet, look at what the guy and his associates did.

Edit: I mean in general and in relation to the guy in jail, not this case specifically as it's not certain this is the right guy.

It says very little really. What relevance does his conviction and sentence have. An imprisoned awful person is still an awful person.

At least the cops in the US who refer to the ghettos as 'self-cleaning ovens' have the excuse of burnout from working the streets.

I can't imagine what motivates someone to wish a slow and painful death on another person, and imagine themselves better than they are at the same time.

I feel for people who commit these types of crimes we really should have an eye for an eye attitude and punishment.

They don't deserve the chance to be out amongst ordinary decent folk.

Firing squad is the way to go.

I can see your side but also the side of those who do wish a painful death on criminals. It's easy for us to have these opinions because really unless we have come face to face with evil or lost someone we loved to murder, a child to a peadophile, then we don't know how we'd feel.

This the guy who was shot in Mulhuddart? You know him? They're quite sure he was the intended victim and it was related to feud.

I think we can be fairly sure none of the gung-ho warriors on here don't fall in to that category
